Previously I had always purchased what I thought was good quality w/mchs but few lasted more than 5 years without some kind of repair being required and the wash quality always seemed reasonable although most machines were noisy. This Meile 1514 produces a much cleaner wash that has to be experienced to be believed. My husband's socks after washing in other machines either shrank or were hard at both heal and toe but the Meile wash leaves the socks soft all over with no shrinkage noticable. It also spins the wash almost dry so use of tumble dryer is much reduced. Bedsheets in particular come out of the machine almost creaseless and ready to fit on bed without the need for pressing. Woolens come out as if they have been handwashed. The machine is amazingly quiet and when fitted stands-out and looks an expensive machine in relation to others. It truely is an excellent unit and well worthy of an investment. I doubt if I will be purchasing any other type of w/mch in the future that is if I ever need one again. My husband immediately recognised the quality in its construction.

I think a bit more detail about the machine would make this a more helpful review for anyone who might be considering buying one. alley x
