Advantages: Very cheap, good radio, easy (ish) to use Disadvantages: Terrible headphones, lack of rewind button!
...I bought this radio/cassette player because I need a tape player with headphones that doesn't do anything fancy, just plays a tape, for my French A Level exam. Not that you're interested. So off I popped to my nearest store which gives you extra, and since this was about £5 cheaper than anything else, I thought it was a deal not to be missed. This was so cheap that, at £4.99, my family didn't believe me when I told them you could buy a cassette player for less than a fiver. Even though it's made by an ultra-cheap company called Mikomi, £4.99 is ridiculously good value in anyone's books. But what's it like, is it worth buying, and more importantly, does it even work?

When you first see the box, the picture on the front doesn't exactly inspire you with confidence. It looks incredibly cheap and tacky, so much...

Advantages: quality sound at a low price. Disadvantages: none if taken for what it is!
...It's a very boring day at the office and just when you think things couldn't possibly get any worse... they do! the old stereo system which we use to listen to our cheesy cd`s and radio on gives up with a loud screeching sound.

I admit to not being the most technically minded and I set off looking for something A, that we can afford and B that looks pretty.
This is how I come to do a review on the mikomi cd 89. This system looked good enough to me and was within our price range at £22.99 so I made my purchase and set off to show the girls what a good job I had done. At first they pulled my leg a bit about the fact that they had never heard of mikomi and how...

Advantages: 1 year guarantee Disadvantages: multiple problems with recorder eg, recording, editing etc
...the mikomi dvd recorder ds-8668 is NOT a good buy. I was given a unit as a xmas present by my parents on setting up the unit to the t.v. took ages as the instructions dont make any sense. Also you will need a scart lead ( not included).
All seemed well untill one day i noticed that while recording the pause button was activating then recording then pause and so on. At the end of the programme being recorded pressed "stop" this would stop the recording and save the item to disk, what actully happned was it did the opisite and wiped the disk with the display "unknown disk" in the corner of the screen.
This happned a lot for the next 3 weeks and after losing a lot of recordings on a lot of disks decided to take the unit back for a exchange (the only good thing about this product it has a one year guarantee) and receved my new...
