The only thing missing is the Sony badge

Advantages: Small, Recordable, Solid Build
Disadvantages: Not as Small as others

This player / recorder is a very solid peice of equipment. It has sustained over a year of use in a collage environmant where it is dropped and banged quite a few times, but it is still going. As for the spec the only thing missing is the remote (avalible on the AM-70) but with 40 seconds antishock and full recording and editing features it is one of the highest specs around. ...and eaisly pocketable it is bigger than the top of the range Sony (but the sony is also £50 more). One not so noticeable feature of this over the others is the multi jog. This may seem a bit of a novalty but it does come in handy. When entering track titles you have to scrool through the letters untill you get the right one. Decent budget MD player

Advantages: It is Minidisc, not bad sound
Disadvantages: Cheap made, no digital out

Sound quality is basically quite good, great for making MD for the car, or recording off digital TV staying in digital from box to MD (I record off The Hits, TMF and Radio 6). Amazing value

Advantages: Has everything MD's have to offer
Disadvantages: Sony have now produced soom better models

Best MiniDisc recorder yet

Advantages: Minidisc long play, digital coaxial inputs / outputs, excellent edit facilities.
Disadvantages: Complicated program method for track replay.

Sony MDS-JE 480

Advantages: Its a Sony!! High quality, cheap price
Disadvantages: None
