Once more Sophie Kinsella has written another light hearted, but full of laughs sequel to the Shopaholic series. Before reading this latest edition I was thinking surely Kinsella must be running... more

I really got through a lot of books on my holiday and this book is another that I saved for a while after I bought it to take with me as it was by one of my favourite authors and I knew I had a good chance of enjoying it. The author: Sophie Kinsella is a very well-known author. Most famous for her Shopaholic series of books which was also made into a film, she has also written a few standalone books under this name and she has also had a number of books published under the name of Madeleine Wickham. The plot: Becky Brandon nee, Bloomwood has always loved shopping and when she and husband Luke ... more

Advantages Advantages Still features the very funny Becky Brandon!

Disadvantages Disadvantages The storyline was a nothing!

Author Sophie Kinsella is not her real name. She wrote her first novel The Tennis Party and it was published in 1995 under her real name Madeleine Wickham. She went on to write another 6 books under her real name. She actually submitted her first ‘Sophie Kinsella’ novel anonymously to her existing publishers and they snapped it up without realising she was already one of their authors. It wasn’t until she released Can You Keep a Secret in 2003 that she revealed her true identity. Sophie/Madeleine was born in London and still lives there with her husband and two sons. Her first book in the ... more

After reading the whole “shopaholic” series of books by Sophie Kinchella a while back, I had forgotten that there was another due to come out. After a visit to my mum’s she produced the newest book in the series that my darling sister had bought, read and left for my perusal, and peruse I certainly did! The book in question is called- “Mini shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella”. The book begins around two years after the last one finished, Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood!) is living with her husband Luke and their two year old daughter Minnie, on the top floor of Becky’s long suffering mum and Dads ... more

    Advantages Advantages more Becky!

Disadvantages Disadvantages wasn't sure about new characters

Becky Brandon is back! But this time, she has an accomplice. In Sophie Kineslla’s latest offering, Becky is joined by her daughter Minnie, who, at the age of two, can already hail a cab and ask to be taken to Starbucks for a muffin. ‘Mini Shopaholic’ is the sixth in the Shopaholic series and has been very eagerly awaited by Sophie Kinsella fans, myself included. The series centres around the antics of Becky, a personal shopper, who is married to businessman Luke Brandon. Becky has a serious shopping addiction; she just can’t resist any form of shopping at all, and this is the basis of the many ... more

I was so excited when I heard that one of my favourite authors , Sophie Kinsella had a new book out! I immediately bought a copy of her latest novel 'Mini Shopaholic' , which is part of the 'Shopaholic' book series by the author. I love the series so much , that I even bought this book at full price , which is really odd for me , as I usually hate paying full price for something I know is going to be selling for a couple of quid in a few months , but with this book , I just couldn't wait for the latest release from one of my favourite authors. Mini Shopaholic was released in the United Kingdom ... more
