Manufacturer's product description
The ultimate out-of-band solution for the last step in a digital signage setup, the AV Extender is the quickest, most efficient way to move multimedia content from player to display. A one-to-one, player-to-plasma/LCD system for transmission of high quality audio and video, the AV Extender transmits rich multimedia from any type of player/computer to any type of electronic display device over standard shielded CAT5 cable. The AV Extender provides the flexibility you need for a customized digital signage installation, allowing you to set up your display device up to 110m/360ft from its player/computer. The display is mounted strategically in public view, while the hardware needed to run the multimedia content is kept behind closed doors and out of public reach. Delivery of rich, dynamic content via an out-of-band system like the AV Extender is the most reliable way to ensure real time display without burdening the network. It is also one of the more cost effective ways to get a digital signage system up and running in your place of business. Plasmas with built in CPU, which are needed for network content delivery, cost three times as much as regular plasma screens; using a dedicated, out-of-band system like the AV Extender can lower the cost of a display significantly.
Advantages: Size, Price, Range Disadvantages: Initial Connectivity problems
...This is a very, very good piece of kit IF you can get it to work!
It has an in-built 'auto-connect' facility which seldom works and with the 3 networks I have had to install them on, it needed to be hard wired to a PC and connected that way (rather than connecting to the network as Belkin advise). For the price, you cant really grumble, especially if the alternative is installing messy CAT5 cable, or if that is not even an option.
It has managed to extend my wireless range (from a Belkin G+ Router) by about 70 meters, with 3 large buildings in . If you can navigate your way around SSID and Security setting issues, it is a useful, and stable bit of hardware!...

Advantages: Great image quality, very adjustable Disadvantages: Subtle color-tracking errors in the grayscales, slightly wobbly
...The Dell UltraSharp 1707FP raises the bar on what you can expect to get from a 200 pound LCD. The monitor combines great image quality with a wonderfully sleek design, and it offers excellent adjustability including a pivoting screen. Also onboard are sensible extras such as four USB ports and an audio input.
at the back of the monitor, the 1707FP has connection ports for audio, DVI-D, VGA, and one upstream and two downstream USB 2.0 ports; two more downstream USB ports are stealthily tucked into the left-hand side of the screen. I have rarely seen such an impressive assortment of connections in a 17-inch LCD. A quick-release button lets you easily remove the panel for mounting on a wall or an arm mount. However there are no built in speakers in the omnitor, however there is a sound attachment you can buy from the dell website...

Advantages: Easy to use, good extension Disadvantages: Website hard to find help on
...This is a Lynksys Wireless-G range extender. It is for a network, whether home or office, that needs more reach on it that save the hassel of buying more routers.
This Range extender from Linksys is a very useful piece of kit. Was very easy to set up (once I typed the correct MAC address into my gateway) and provides the range I need to go over about 30 metres and through several big thick brick walls.
I was having trouble with just my router so i turned to the internet and this is what i found. I combined it with a new antenna on my PC and my signal is now 5 bars! Much better than a half of one!
The Wireless-G Range Expander is compatible with the Linksys WAP54G Access Point, and both the WRT54G and WRT54GS Wireless Routers. It works with both Wireless-G and Wireless-B clients so you'll get the benefits of increased coverage, even...

Overview
----------------
I bought this extender to go with my Canon EF 70-200 f4.0L IS lens. It extends the range to 280mm and increases the maximum aperture to 5.6. This means that autofocus on a 20D, 30D, 40D or 5D body will still function... more
