Olympus 8X25 WP I

Advantages: Image adjustments to give great view, waterproof, adjustable eye-relief
Disadvantages: fixed magnification, average build and design quality

type of prism is compact and can be used to make very light binoculars. The use of nitrogen within the binoculars alongside the prism and other components makes it water-proof. Also an O-ring is used to seal the focal points of the binoculars and then purged (filled) with nitrogen to prevent water from entering the binoculars. Being waterproof there is a limit of how deep into water binoculars can go. Most waterproof binoculars in the Olympus 8X25 WPI's range tend to be waterproof until they get to a depth of over 2 meters. This is because the lens within the binoculars is made out of glass and due to glass being fragile and taking into account the pressure of the above 2 meter water depth the lens is bound to shatter. The viewing end of the binoculars also known as the eye-relief area is adjustable to give you maximum comfort when using ...

Review of Olympus 8X25 WP I

Minolta compact 2 super binoculars

Advantages: Lightweight, easy to use, fairly compact, eye cups alter for spectacle wearers.
Disadvantages: Plastic body not waterproof

I wanted to replace my old binoculars which had got tatty and were not working properly, for some decent, but not too expensive ones. In other words the best I could afford. I took some advice from the sales guy, who seemed to know what he was talking about and settled on these Minoltas. I like the clarity, the accuracy of the colours and the brightness of the image. The eye-cups spring in and out which helps if you wear spectacles, and there is a lens cap. Also in the box, a fairly run-of-the mill case with belt loop and neckstrap. I was a little concerned that the body is plastic, rather than rubber coated, as I spend a fair amount of time outdoors, but they are so compact, they easily fit into a coat pocket anyway, even if you don't have the case to hand. All in all I am very pleased with these good quality "budget" (£60 ...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT

Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)

Apple mac-books, where to start... ok, so to start, it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are. this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is ...
