Advantages: Quick and easy to do. Good rewards.
Disadvantages: Small problem with redeeming reward points on-line.

I have been scanning my shopping with Fact Finders for over a year now and have had no problems. The setting up of the wand at each scanning session is a bit of a bore as you have to go through the when,who and where bit for each shop but apart from that I enjoy scanning. It does not take long. The wand is easy to use and when not in use sits hidden away on a bottom shelf - I put it there because several people thought it was a phone! The Customer Service department is excellent and regularly get in touch to remind you to scan your top-up shopping and if there are any surveys to do. When an electrical storm killed my scanner there was a replacement within a couple of days and the old scanner was returned to Fact Finders where they managed to retrieve the data. Fact Finders

Advantages: Erm I'm struggling to find any
Disadvantages: Time consuming, very little reward

I recieved my fact finders pack this morning and what can I say..... this seems like a awful amount of work for very little reward. The catalogue ( which you can redeem the points that you get for scanning) is full of either rubbishy little household items or larger items, such as xbox 360's. I sat and did a quick calculation, you could probably earn enough points fairly quickly to get a vase! but if you want a big prize like an xbox then you are looking at about 4.5 years worth of collecting. This is just not worth it. The information also says that there is a 'full' catalogue list of prizes on their website, which after spening about 30 minutes searching for this morning; does not actually seem to exsist. I will be making a phone call to them soon and getting them to pick their equiptment back up. In future I will stick to ...

Advantages: NICE GIFTS
Disadvantages: TO MUCH INFO TO INPUT, TAKES AGES TO SAVE POINTS

I RECENTLY JOINED FACT FINDERS AFTER RECEIVING AN EMAIL AND A TELEPHONE CALL FROM THEM, STILL NOT SURE HOW THEY FOUND ME. THE SCANNER AND ALL THE BITS ARE A BIT SCARY WHEN YOU OPEN THE BOX, HAVE HAD A SLIGHT PROBLEM AS THEY NEVER SENT ME THE RIGHT PHONE ADAPTOR, IVE HAD TO BORROW ONE, I HAVE RANG THEM THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND ONE OUT BUT 5 DAYS ON I'M STILL WAITING. update: got my new phone plug on wednesday 11/07/07. STILL A BIT CONFUSED ABOUT THE PACK, AS TO WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SCAN OR NOT, AS MOST SUPERMARKETS SELL CLOTHES/TOYS/SOFTWARE, DO I SCAN THEM - OR DO I NOT?
