This camera is the best if you do want a good wide zoom as well as a good tele zoom. I do not want to spend another $200-300 on conversion lenses, will use this camera for real estate, read the professional reviews as well as the consumer reviews. Minolta has a great reputation as far as customer service is concerned which was a very important consideration to me. Before buying, you can even download the manual from the minolta website and study all the features that this camera provides. I also chose this camera because it is considered difficult to use by the amateur, this is what I was looking for, a camera that can keep me interested for many years to come. This is not a compact camera and weighs 500 g +, but it makes you feel and look like a Pro.

The review makes a good point about the wide angle; it's unusual for digital cameras to go as wide as 28 mm which I image would be very useful in real estate. It would have been interesting to hear how the review felt about Image Stabiliser, surely this is useful for taking pictures of interiors with natural light?
