I love this little digital camera! I bought it in a sleepy moment at the airport in the wee small hours of the morning... vulnerable to a well-trained sales guy... BUT I have not been disappointed! (Although I did only pop into the shop to pick up a cheap little throw-away box job for my last minute hols when I forgot my camera.) I didn't realise though until I took my first few pickies that the tiny 8 mgmemory they give you is virtually useless (30 pics?) so on hols bought a huge one to be able to capture all my memories. This was years ago, so not familiar with memory size way back then. Took to Australia last year - and fitted on over 400 photos - including about 5 video shots. The microphone is excellent - it's amazing how sound with the pictures brings the memories alive. It takes me right back to craning my neck up a gum tree to video the sleepy koalas - complete with Ozzie Uncle commentary in the background - as he was further down the forest than I! The little LCD display on the back of the camera is great - however of course you only see the true quality of the captured image when you download. Another issue is that you cannot download whilst using the battery power only - because they die mid-way. And you do not get the power pack with the camera (why?) it took me forever to source one eventually from the Minolta website before I could do my downloads. And the koala does not look as good on my PC screen than on the tiny image on the back of the camera. The best thing is that it is small and light enough to keep in your pocket / handbag and whip it out when necessary! Enjoy :-)
thank you for your review - it was helpful but difficult for me to follow, as I am dyslexic. It would be more helpful if you went to the "Edit review" link above the profile section of your review page and went into the editing box and split the review into pararaphs by pressing the "Enter£ key a couple of times between ideas. You might find that you will want to expand a bit on some of the issues you have raised, as well. I am not sure what is the "Power pack" you refer to; a brief explanation might be more helpful; prices and availability of product and accessories would also assist!!... - ♥♥ - jes ≈≈≈≈{; -)-{{::::: |||||< ♥♥
