This camera is eay to use with its essential controls very well placed for the user to handle. It has facilities for more advanced users to test and create photographic masterpieces. This as with all SLR cameras provides a much more versatile basis for your photographic needs. With a range of photographic modes it becomes simple for anyone to create well made pictures.
The manual adjustment of the lens may cause problems at first for people used only to compact cameras, however it does allow much quicker use of the camera and will with some practice allow you to get the right shots. This camera is not APS and so is not for total inexperienced people however it does give a much more expert style to pictures that are taken with it.
The price is another factor to consider however compared to similar entry level products such as the Canon 300 it is an inexpensive way to break into the SLR market.
