I bought this camera after doing alot of research on the net and in photography shops, I had a limited budget but wanted to go for something that would offer a zoom-in ability and good quality pictures, and one that was not to chunky ofcourse. The minolta one was recommended a few times so I bought it. The quality of pictures is good, gives a great colour contrast, even in dull lighting conditions the pictures came out well. Generally very good for pictures of landscape and scenery etc. All my pictures came out quite sharp and bright. However, it is best used zoomed-out when it comes to photographing people. The zoom-in function gives great clarity and quality but skin-tones can appear a bit too pale/bright, not very natural. It may be that the flash is too strong. But apart from the skin-tone problem, the camera is great for zooming in and if used with a good quality film, it will produce quality pictures. It also has a self-timer function, landscape setting and a function that allows you to take good pictures in the dark. Great features and a good looking camera!
