I liked this book a whole lot better than the film, but then again books are always better than the film anyway aren't they.
Paul Sheldon is a famous writer and is involved in a car crash - only to be rescued by his number one fan Annie Wilkes. She nursed him slowly back to health and asks for only one thing in return, the ressurection of Pauls recently killed character - Misery. There have been several misery books and Annie was hooked on all of them and now she wanted more.
paul didn't want to, and if he was bad, as he sometimes could be , Annie could be cross and when she got cross she would hurt him.
A very grusome book with I thouroughly enjoyed. I thought it was well written and I thought the interaction between the two characters was excellent. Definately recommend it.
Sorry for the low rating, I thought your review was a little short and needed to be a bit more in depth, including information about the plot, characters, pace, good points, bad points etc. If you edit, let me know and I would happily re-rate it for you. Ellie.

Advantages: A nice gripping and readable novel ; A terrific tale of survival ; Very atmospheric ; The characters thoughts and feelings are projected well to the reader Disadvantages: Suddenly stops flowing towards the middle ; King can be slightly over obsequious towards the main character
