Mission m73i Speakers

I wanted a new pair of speakers for my living room so I went down to my local Curry's store and found the fantastic Mission M73i set. For around £100 you get two metre tall speakers with a wooden finish. While they look modern, apart from the speakers, they're like something off an old James ... Read review

Advantages: Good Design
Disadvantages: £100!

...store and found the fantastic Mission M73i set.

For around £100 you get two metre tall speakers with a wooden finish. While they look modern, apart from the speakers, they're like something off an old James Bond film. They might have been cool back then but not now.

Advantages: Number of inputs
Disadvantages: No remote or binding posts

Today I am using this amp to run a pair of Mission M73 floorstanding speakers, and it does the job well. The quoted 55 watts is adequate for a standard hifi set up and I have never had to drive the thing particulary hard. As for the negatives...it does not come with a remote control. I didn't think this would bother me at first, but now that I can control CD player, tuner etc from my seat, I find it frustrating when I need to get up just to adjust the volume slightly. Maybe I am just very lazy...but just thought I would say! The speaker connection points are also of the 'sping clip' type rather than binding posts. This makes it very difficult to wire up speakers with decent ...
