great car!
Advantages: fast car Disadvantages: loves gas
Description:
The 3000GT has a few powerplant choices; a 3.0-liter, 161-hp SOHC V6, a 3.0-liter, 218-hp SOHC V6, or the twinturbo-charged 3.0-liter, 320-horsepower SOHC V6. Choose between a 4-speed automatic, a 5-speed or 6-speed manual transmission. ABS is optional.
Okay, I will start by saying this is my second 3000GT, my first one was a 96 VR-4 which was absolutely phenomenal but I ended up getting rear ended and totalling it out. After that ... ...in any category). I had a few other cars after that and finally I came across an extremely good deal on an SL and I had been wanting another 3K anyway. On the way back from picking it up, I hit 158 mph on the highway, bone stock N/A 5 speed. Since then I have added a full exhaust, test pipe, intake and other misc and it hits near 165 and gets there fast. And the most amazing part is, I can get nearly 30 mpg on the highway taking it easy. It has very ...

Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS 2004
Advantages: Fast, looks good, great features, good gas mileage, sporty Disadvantages: poor rear screen view, quite a few blind spots
My fiance is american and owns this vehicle. After seeing the spider edition in the Fast & Furious 2, i have wanted to drive this little beauty.
It has a very torquey engine in the low rev range, then the turbo kicks in and boosts that power to a phenomenal level. Plus with the few cheap upgrades (air filter, exhaust, dump-valve) turbo lag was greater reduced.
I haven't found many sports/coupe four seaters that i have gotten along with (not even ...

what can i say......meeeeeoowwwwmmm!!!!!
Advantages: looks awsome, engine sounds gr8, rare Disadvantages: try parking the damn thing, dont want to get it wreked i.e. you never take it out, has to be kept in a garage and have a special security system to be insured
This car is absoloutly fabulous! With the twin turbo engine....and you know, an autobahn you can get up to speeds of 180 mph! The accerleration on the gt is unbelievable, the only prob is you spend most of your time in the car, pressed against the back of your seat. The intirior of the car is fairly basic, but it works! everything is where it should be and you have little or no problems with it. Even though it is a four seater, there isnt much room ... ...best use for them is to put the shopping, as there is little or no boot. Inside the boot you will also find the 6 disk cd tray, odd place for it but, as long as you dont want more than 6 albums per journey, it works fine. As far as i can see the only problem with this car is other people. because of how brilliant this car looks, you' l find alot of jelous people trying to scratch it. the only other thing is, you tend to find youself involved in alot ...

Fast And Furious
Advantages: Fast and furious, gorgeous exterior Disadvantages: Turning radius more appropriate of a land yacht
...the sexycool stylings of the Mitsubishi Eclipse! Alas, Vin Diesel wasn't available, so, in late 2002, I purchased a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder Convertible GS with about 40,000 miles on it. *************************************** RAMPING UP ***************************************
I was looking for a great looking used car about three years old - enough wear and tear that someone else took the brunt of the depreciation, but not so much that it ... ...to a 2000 Eclipse GT (Turbo) or the '99 GS Spyder Convertible. Let's see. Turbo, convertible, turbo.....convertible. Hmmmm....tough choice. I decided against the GT for several reasons - one, this particular one had a problem with the linkage (which affects being able to put the car into gear). Being only three years old, it must have been driven pretty rough to be having problems already. Second, I live in a mid-sized town, with only one freeway ...

Fun to drive, well engineered
Advantages: Looks great, the turbo version is fast Disadvantages: Dealer support is typically poor
I liked the non-turbo 3000GT so much, I bought the all-wheel drive turbo model as well. If you like the way this car looks, you'll like driving it just as much. It's comfortable, even for a tall driver. (I'm 6'2" 185cm)
There are a lot of electronic gadgets, and more on the turbo than the non, and these can keep you busy with minor repairs if you insist that they all work. In general, I'd recommend it to the DIY owner who can handle auto repairs. ... ...is relatively simple, particularly if one invests in a Palm Pilot and diagnosis software, which plugs into the diagnostic connector on model years except 94 & 95.
I enjoy the car, but there are some known service items to look out for:
There is a safety recall on the AWD transfer case, which can lock all 4 wheels and send the car into an uncontrollable skid.
The engine control module in models up to 1995 usually fails due to faulty components. ...
