Review of Mitsubishi DD 4000 by Eatcha

Advantages: nice and spicey functions
Disadvantages: arrh none

...I had narrowed my choice of brands between Sony and Mitsubishi but found that the Sony DVD players looked cheaply made and very freakin expensive. This model has a slim profile and the buttons have a solid feel. It provides all of the essential features and provides an S-video port and an S-video cable!!!!!!. Most DVD players don't have the cable (the average price of the cable alone is around 15 for 3 feet in length). The S-video connection provides good picture quality, sorted! The remotes small so if your homer and your fingures are fat expect to get 6 channels at once! I have a Mitsubishi TV and video and have never had a problem. Mitsubishi knows how to design and build quality products that last and the DD4000 also appears to be of the same quality. The price seems to be quite competitive with other manufacturers. I paid only... Read review

Excellent Picture and Sound!
Review of Panasonic TX 28PK2C by Leonmoon

Advantages: picture and sound
Disadvantages: no diff from other 28" sets but sheer weight and size

...I've just bought this TV having had a Mitsubishi of 10 years standing and have been amazed at the quality of vision and sound. I only wanted to buy a cheap widescreen TV (my choice was a Toshiba 28w8db £419.99 from hed.co.uk - excellent price and some £130 cheaper than the high street) but came across this Panasonic at John Lewis... it was being sold cheap (£600) as the previous buyer found it too big for the planned space. It is absolutely fantastic with crystal clear picture and amazing Dolby Prologic sound. It really is a cinema equivalent sound - incidentally the sound system is made by Technics and is apparently the of a higher quality compared to similar Prologic TVs. The picture is again one of the best on the market and is, according to the John Lewis assistant, better than Sony's 50Hz range of flatscreen TVs. Top Marks... Read review

Music to my ears
Review of Sony CFDS37 by Solex

Advantages: Works well and very durable
Disadvantages: The manual might as well be in Jargon

...when I was around 9 years-old. I thought I was so special. It had a double tape deck, a radio and plenty of buttons (although I didn't know what they meant). I really liked it. But as time went on, reliability wasn't it's forte. First of all somebody had ripped of both the tape covering and the aerial (my brother was the prime suspect) and from there it just went downhill. Then my brother won a CD-Player on the radio and I got jealous and so the little Sony was just phased out (sniff sniff). Number 2. I used the Mitsubishi Cd-Player which at the time was very special indeed, but again that was soon battered and brusied by it's lack of durability (if my brother, called Stoffy on here, is reading this he'll know what I mean). It ultimately broke soon after my brother trotted of to university and I was left with nothing (sniff sniff... Read review
