We use around 6+ of these at work and have them all ceiling mounted. Not once have I come across a problem with any one of them. They look great, work great and are great.
This is a top of the line portable projector at a reasonable price. It’s more or less an updated version of the XL5 and XL8 models. It brings you brighter, richer and sharper images through LCD technology.
The projector is a fairly heavy duty projector yet still portable weighing at 5.9 lbs, with a 1280 x 1024 resolution which works out to about 300 inches in diagonal size at max without loosing to much quality, this projector really is something.
The XL9U used Mitsubishis Natural Colour Matrix technology, 3D Colour Uniformity Correction and sRGB Color Profile technology. These system allows you to separately alter six colorations (RGB and YMC.) to make vibrant replicas of even the most faint colours. If this isn’t enough the sRGB technology can match hue variations in the colour spectrum almost precisely so that colours are showed as they would be in real life.
You can customise the opening or standby screen to show your own message or brand identity. Great little feature for both fun and business.
3 year parts and labour warranty, three years of Express Replacement Assistance (ERA) and a 90 day lamp warranty. Great to have as piece of mind.
This projector is 2000 lumens (Great quality and colour on top of it’s display technology) which is around standard right now, but being that these have been nothing but reliable to me I would recommend you get one of these over another.
The basics functions of the projector itself are very easy to use and the other settings such a altering the image is not too difficult either, you just have to familiarise yourself.
The bulb life is around 2000 hours on normal mode and around 5000 hours in economic mode. Not a lot of difference between these mode, just slight colour difference.
Dimensions are 10.8"(W) x 2.7"(H) x 10.3"(D) which is very portable unlike conventional projectors that were just an annoyance to carry.
When purchased includes AC Power Cable, RGB Cable, RS-232C cable, Remote control (with battery), Soft Carrying Case, User Manual CD and Safety Manual.
