And at a 32x rewrite speed you can write over the same disc multiple times, making backups, or resaving important files without worry about wasting discs. Coupled with technology like AGEISWRITE equipped with ExacLink, the CR-485GTE is able to not only detect the type of disc used, but also constantly monitor the recording session to insure that the recording process doesn't fail. The CR-485GTE is also providing background formatting, defect management and more benefits through Mount Rainier. In addition MITSUMI allows you to extend the life of your drive with Flash ROM, so that as you upgrade your operating system, you can upgrade the CR-485GTE's software. CD inferno BURN BABY BURN Don't tell your mum Review of Mitsumi CR 4804TE by neilmoore67 Advantages: fast, easy to use, lots of uses Disadvantages: tricky installation ...the supplied copy of Win-on-CD, which helps you to write to your CDs. It is a drag and drop interface so you can drag from a file menu whatever you want on the CD. A very good feature is the ability to create CD Extra discs. This means that when you copy music to the CD you can choose for it to be in the format of MP3 or wav which you can view as a file. Or you can choose for the music to play in a CD player, which means it can't be edited as a file without ripping it from the CD. You can also install a piece of software which allows you to use a CD as if it was a floppy disc. You can copy as much or as little to a CD as you like whenever you want. I can then be viewed on the Mitsumi drive or any other drive which is suitable. You can also use the more expensive but superior CD-RW so that you can write to the same CD virtually indefinitely in any... Works but not to well Review of Mitsumi 4802TE by chrisnelis Advantages: Price Disadvantages: Installation ...The Mitsumi 4802TE CD writer is a reasonable budget buy, It is quite complicated to set-up and can conflict with other devices, for example my Mitsumi CD 48x drive! I had to replace my CD ROM drive to get the writer to work, Once the drive is installed it works reliably and produces the results, It is now slow by today’s standards. The software is useless I replaced mine with Adaptec Easy CD Creator. Even though the drive works, you can still buy better for about the same money. I would not recommend this drive to anyone...
