Advantages: Space saving, relatively cheap, easy to install
Disadvantages: err..none!

...Not too much to say really, but I've had one of these for a while now and placed it in my previously defunct floppy drive slot, and its great. Not that I actually use a floppy drive these days except for doing a bios upgrade, but it with support for the majority of flash cards, its great. Its the same size as a normally floppy, so it doesn't take up any extra room, you just need to make sure you have a spare USB header on your mother board to use the flash reader, and if you want to use the floppy drive, a floppy drive connector as well. (You could chose not to bother to connect the floppy drive anyway and just use it as a flash reader) Prior to this a had various adpaters and things for using SD & Transflash, this just makes it easier, as it already there in the computer. ...I had just re-started school and when attending my first IT lesson I was immediately informed by the teacher that to securely save my work this year i would be best off buying a USB flash memory drive as lately floppys were far too un-reliable and she didn't want us losing important schoolwork/coursework due to a malfunction of the floppy. With this in mind I started looking around for a USB flash memory drive for a decent price, i already knew that Kingston was a well known (memory) brand and was known to be very reliable and so when looking around paid special attention to theirs. I also knew that i either wanted a 128 or 256 memory capacity as this would mean that I would be able to easily store all my schoolwork with no worries that the space would run out. ...i found this product to be of great use, they are so handy to transfer data to and from places i.e school work etc. it's really small and fits neatly inside any pocket. it has its own lid to prevent scratching and damage and all you need for it to work is usb port in your machine. flash memory is the thing of the future, it's small, handy and it can store good amounts of data. its a must if your sick of carting around floppy disks or cd's etc. plus its re-writeable. I thought that 256 mb was a reasonable size and anything bigger may not have been filled, Overall the quality of this product is excellent and i would be only too happy to recommend this product to anyone else....
