My Experience with Orange

Advantages: Good offers
Disadvantages: Poor customer service

I have been with orange for around 10 years. At first I started off on pay as you go. All I did was pop the simcard into my phone, register it which was very easy and off I went. Topping it up with £10.00 now and again. As I got older I used my phone alot more, so these £10.00's now and again were becoming a couple of times a week. That is when I decided to go for an Orange network contract. From the bit of research I did it looked like Orange had ...
...I went to my local Orange store and they were delighted I was getting a contract. I got to pick my phone of choice, which were all the latest models. I think my first contract phone was a Samsung - not too sure though. I signed a few papers and off I went, sim card in phone, monthly direct debit for £35.00 a month and as many text messages as I wanted to send. The contract I took out was over 18months. Sooo 18 Months later time to renew? Orange agreed ...

Vodafone

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Everything

...my 1st time being with vodafone and I am not really impressed, when i got offered the phone i took it and that was the mistake i made as i realised that other networks had the same phone for less of a tarriff, I still have 10 days to return it and i think i will and take a contract from other network. You wait ages to speak to a customer service advisor and i expect to have things simple and simple is not vodafone, so you out there that have been ...

O2 customer services are terible

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Never speak to same person twice. Different procedures per operator, disjointed

...away for repair 3 times O2 agreed to replace it. I therefore sent it off for a 4th time in order to get the replacement only to discover it was returned again - still un-repaired! After many calls to customer services I discovered the orbit2 was out of stock and that was why it was returned. Eventually I managed to persuade a manager to issue a replacement with an equivalent handset (Ignito) and sent away my brojen orbit2 again. Guess what the Ignito ...
...a whole new story. O2 customer service are appauling to deal with. You never speak to the same person twice, every operator tell you a different process and thats if you can get them to understand the history as to whats going on. On some occasions I came across individuals who simply didn't care, on others the operators were jobs worth. When eventaully my 18m contract comes to an end I shall definately move operators. No one else surely can be ...

Fantastic Texting Abroad

Advantages: 10p per minute text to abroad
Disadvantages: Sound quality not so good

My family have recently gone on holiday to Bulgaria. We were texting till they boarded the plane, WHICH WAS GREAT. I continued texting when I realised that my messages were still going thru. Unfortunately my daughter did not realise that this service was available and her phone has run out of credit, so she has had to use standard phone (Very Expensive) She does not seem able to top up her phone in Bulgaria!!! Can I top her phone up for her by ...

Review of BTCellnet

The ever changing network

Advantages: Free voicemail
Disadvantages: Cost of calls to other networks

...standard plan was the only one on offer when I first bought my phone. This allowed me to make calls any time of the day to any network for 30p for the first two minutes and 2p after that. Shortly after I bought it the price changed to 5p per minute after the first two minutes. This is still a very good deal and I didn’t mind the change in price because it was still cheaper than any other network. When one2one made the switch over to t-mobile ...
...All calls to any one at any time are 30p per minute after you have spent £10 on your phone the charge goes down to 20p per minute, then after you've spent £20 it goes down to 10p per minute, for the rest of the calendar month. As soon as the first of the month comes along the price goes back up to 30p per minute. On both of the above plans there is free voicemail retrieval and 10p charge per message sent. Also WAP and Mobile Email using GPRS per ...
