Very Bad, Very sad
Review of Sony Ericsson P990i by
supermort
Advantages: Not alot, wlan, touchscreen and wcdma, camera
Disadvantages: Bulky, prone to crash and reboot, unintuitive menus
This phone is one of my few disappointments in life. I when got this giant for a phone, this is both about the size and functionality of the phone, I thought "Wow, at last a good phone with a touchscreen!". This is not the case unfortunately. Though it has some good points, like wlan and touchscreen. It has alot of bad ones. The first and the foremost is that it is essentially 2 phones, one with the numerical keyboard on and a completely diffrent ... ...reboot alot. It also disconnect when calling. Very annoying. When browsing the phone in the touchscreen mode it gets overly complicated and you get lost in the jungle that is its menus. This is frustrating when you dont find what you are looking for and I was usullay just gave in. ...

Sony Ericsson P800
Review of Sony Ericsson P800 by
Qurck
Advantages: Touch Screen, MP3 Player, Bluetooth, HTML Browser, Symbain UIQ Interface
Disadvantages: Quite Speaker, Memory Sitck, Lack of Video Camera
I purchased a P800 in 2003 after reading some great reviews on it. ever since it has become an essential part of my life. The menu is easy to use and even easier to master. The camera is VGA quality but still manges to take good shots, the only annoyance with it is that is cannot record video without an external application. the internal memory is only 16MB but it can be expanded with a 128MB memory stick duo, no more that 128MB is accepted. One ... ...cannot be fixed by software) is the fact that it is so quite! it is hard to hear the ringer tone even in a quiet room! The built in video player can handle 3GP and MP4 files but the latter need to be recoded to fit the screen. The PC sync software is well made and packed with features. The web browser is fully HTML enabled and performs well while browsing the Internet. The symbian interface makes this phone's features easily expandable thanks to ...

who needs a qwerty keyboard on a phone?
Review of Nokia 6820 by
mike_cox1981
Advantages: Its a Nokia
Disadvantages: Poor camera, poor colours
...mmm interesting. Its a Nokia so its bound to be reliable given that they're arguably the best phone manufacturers in the wrold.
When I got it however I was quite let down. Yes it does have a flip open qwerty keyboard, a camera and bluetooth. BUT - who needs a qwerty keyboards since predictive text is available. They keys are so small that only a person with very small fingers could use it. The camera is very poor - once I take a photograph everyone ... ...the resolution is very poor.
The bluetooths works fine however since the phone does not have MP3 capability whats the point since the main use is to pilfer your mates decent ring tones off their phone but since most phones now have MP3 ringtones that leaves you a bit high and dry with this phone.
Im just about to get rid of this now and get a Motorola Slvr instead so shall see what the difference is there. On the whole the phone is reliable but ...

Functional but unspectacular
Review of Sony Ericsson CMD-Z7 by
Immy_G_1303
Advantages: Simple and easy to use
Disadvantages: Lack of extras most mobile users are used to nowadays
Ok im going to keep this simple (like the Z7 in fact!) if you want an all singing, all dancing mobile that can take high quality videos and photos and then send them via bluetooth then look elsewhere. If however you want a cheap mobile simply to make and receive calls and send and receive texts the Z7 is a nifty little phone.
It has a big screen, scrolling wheel and flippy-uppy bit. its small and looks pretty stylish - all silver and streamlined!
... ...had any problems except for very occasional freezing which can be sorted by removing and then putting back the battery. The ringtones are not particularly great (though i am kind of attached to the cute version of Pachebel's Canon!) and the ringtone recording feature lets in too much interference to be truly effective. Also for the gamers out there there are only 2 gmaes - blackjack and the rather novel table football. both are fine for wasting 5 ...
