Customer Service? WHAT Customer Service! Advantages: Good range of phones? That's about it. Disadvantages: Absolutely awful customer service ...know where to start with the Carphone Warehouse. I was originally with O2, but due to some of the better deals I saw with the Carphone Warehouse, I decided to go with them. Little did I know what a big mistake this was. I was with the Carphone Warehouse for around a year at first, and had absolutely no issues, and therefore didn't need to contact them or visit any of their stores. Then, it came to the end of my contract, at which time the mobile ... ...upgrade, and was told that the handset had been received in that day. I spent around 30 minutes on the phone to them, after which time I was offered quite a good deal, considering it was quite a high-end handset. I was told that because I had ordered the phone before 1pm, that the phone would definitely be with me the next day. Well, as you guessed, nothing arrived. PHONES4U ARE MONEY RIPPER - AVOID AT ALL COST Advantages: SHOPS ARE EVERYWHERE Disadvantages: POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, SELL REFURBISHED PHONES, ALL SEALS ARE BROKEN, TELL LIES ...stock. I went to all Phones4U shops in Central London one said that the service is down so come after 3 pm, ther next one said they are sort of staff so can't do exchange, next one said I should go to the branch I have bought it from, next shop showed me a opened ex-demo box . Seeing Red with Orange Shop Online Advantages: None Disadvantages: Too many to itemise. I've been 'in the market' for a new mobile phone ever since, well, I read down the list of specifications on the Nokia N95; compared it against my trusty Nokia 2650 flip-phone and... Yeah, it was like comparing a Swiss Army Knife with a teaspoon. This was about three months ago and far from the craving fading with time, distance and the whole 'unlocked handsets cost twice as much as the average desktop PC' business - my condition worsened. Avoid like the bubonic Advantages: Ummm, can't think of any Disadvantages: Is expensive and completely unreliable Ever since Sainsbury's sold their mobile arm to Carphone warehouse (usually a decent operation) in 2003 it has been awful. Their administration is completely unreliable, the call handlers are under-trained. My first bill with them was miscalculated (four times higher than normal because they had switched me to the wrong tarriff and 10 months and at least nine calls later I am still waiting for them to recalculate it. It's like reinventing the wheel ... ...with us, we are not sainsbury's Mobile ,we are Carphone warehouse." I pointed out that the number i had reached him on was on an invoice headed Sainsbury's Mobile and he said it made no difference. I won't bore you with the rest.
