My mobile, good and cheap Advantages: cheap, small, not very heavy, easy to use,... Disadvantages: maybe this "ok" button, too fragile ...last december, after my other alcatel mobile (Alcatel One Touch) stoped working (some problem with the battery, as usual). After a not long but intensive search, I was temted by nokia and his clasic 3310 model, but I found out how expensive this brand is (at least, in Spain). Another reason was the weight, and size, too big for I what I was looking for. Then, I decided to give another chance to this brand I trusted before, alcatel, and after a small ... ...was very light (just 99 grs.) and also not too big. They offered me two differents models, I mean, talking about colors. The dark blue one that you can see on the photograph above, and the one I finaly got, the black one (now I think the blue one is very nice, even more than mine...). I bought this mobile taking advantage of this special bargain, that was about not buying a new mobile, but changing your last one for this....well, not exactly changing, ... Just a phone... Advantages: Works faultlesly Disadvantages: Not many features Just to add my little bit to the other reviews... This phone is for people who want from their phone to be just a... phone. And nothing else. And I'm one of these people! I've had it for nearly three (yes!) years and it still works fine while my husband's fancy Sony packed up after a few months of use :) It has been dropped countless times and it doesn't even show it! Alcatel One Touch Easy Advantages: Small, lightweight, Stylish and looks good. Disadvantages: Processing speed is very slow. ...there.... I am using this alcatel One Touch 511 mobile phone which i really like, but unfortunately there are certain points about this phone which makes me hate it. * Processing speed of messages and searching of names in the address book are damn slow. ( Well i went through one of the guys review on this forum as he says that the users should have patience. But for his information we dont use phones for fun but for a real necessity). Poor graphics ... ...of the other phones than alcatel 511. Love the polyphonic tones but unfortunately the volume isnt enough. Searched all most all the sites available for 511 ring tones but none of the alactel notes are compatible for this phone. No equipment available t listen to radio although the radio option is available. What's in a phone? Advantages: The menus are easy to follow. Disadvantages: The handset feels quite chunky. The one touch easy db is of a good quality and will stand up well to reasonable wear and tear. You can be quite rough and the handset will still be intact. The functions on the phone include all the basics that you need, and the sms service racalls all the previous messages sent. I would suggest that the disadvantage of this is the phones sms capacity is only 20 messages and this includes bot messages sent and received. The menus themselves are ... ...choice of using the side buttons or the keypad to move through the the given menu choices. I found that it was easier to navigate the phone using the keypad. One of the main problems I particularly found was the small screen so that if you were typing a message you could not see much of the message you had written and vice versa when reading a message sent.
