Philips 530 : A Preview

Advantages: Small in size, powerful screen, excellent features, sexy looks, good compatibilty
Disadvantages: Not very easy to use keypad, not a popular brand

The Philips 530 has the best features as compared to its low price, small in size it could blow anybody away, extra cool style with a new revoultionary keypad although it bears a little resemblence with the Sony Erricson T610. With the brand new DJ Mixing Technology which has 9 channels of polyphonic sound effects to provide a realistic pro DJ track, it is the first phone to enter the market which has professional European DJ's supporting the phone ...
...fanatics out there but nevertheless Philips will be releasing Memory Cards or Chips which can enable you to store more songs. You can create your own ringtones that too polyphonic on the phone itself and store it. Creating music has never been easier with this lovable gadget. The games also are very gripping. With GPRS/WAP you can surf the internet for downloading music tracks, applications for the phone like world clock, downloading games from the ...

OK but outdated

Advantages: Nice yellow colour
Disadvantages: Weighs a lot and is a brick, poor reception

I have had a yellow phillips savvy for almost 3 years now. overall, i have been very happy with it except it is now too outdated it weighs a lot and the antenna seems to take a lot of the room. it has a biocalendar so you can see your luck, chance etc and you can choose an icon smiley for your text messages something i have not seen on other phones obviously there is no camera or colour screen as the screen is very small and this makes text messages ...

My first ever phone

Advantages: Could withstand a lot of knocks, and very good signal everywhere even abroad
Disadvantages: Severe lack of features, ugly design and a small screen

I recieved the DB as a Christmas present in December 2000, my first ever phone so you can imagine I was a little pleased. I'm going to be fair with this review. It may be a terrible phone now, but back then it was acceptable in a few ways. Even though it was still pretty much obsolete to many models at the time, it still had some strengths. This has to be one of the durable phones of all time. It had the strength and endurance of a brick. One time ...
...some flights of stairs to the bottom floor. It didn't even make a scratch and hadn't even switched off my phone. It lasted me just over a year before it started to develop serious errors. The DB would eventually start to freeze all the time and became too unreliable to use. So, its lifetime was around a year. The look and feel has to be a major down point. Its not a model that you could whip out and show off. Like above, it was designed like a brick, ...

Oldie but goldie...

Advantages: Shortcuts to menu functions
Disadvantages: Small display, very poor reception quality

My Philips Diga is an "ancient" phone with good facilities for the times it appeared on the market. You can access fast the menu functions through shortcuts on the keys. The display is small, made only by one line of text, but it is used quite smart : the text slides from one side to another. The buttons are very nice and soft (I like them more that any others now on market!!!). It is a more wide rather than thick phone and it`s lighter than Nokia ...
