My first ever phone Advantages: Could withstand a lot of knocks, and very good signal everywhere even abroad Disadvantages: Severe lack of features, ugly design and a small screen I recieved the DB as a Christmas present in December 2000, my first ever phone so you can imagine I was a little pleased. I'm going to be fair with this review. It may be a terrible phone now, but back then it was acceptable in a few ways. Even though it was still pretty much obsolete to many models at the time, it still had some strengths. This has to be one of the durable phones of all time. It had the strength and endurance of a brick. One time ... ...some flights of stairs to the bottom floor. It didn't even make a scratch and hadn't even switched off my phone. It lasted me just over a year before it started to develop serious errors. The DB would eventually start to freeze all the time and became too unreliable to use. So, its lifetime was around a year. The look and feel has to be a major down point. Its not a model that you could whip out and show off. Oldie but goldie... Advantages: Shortcuts to menu functions Disadvantages: Small display, very poor reception quality My Philips Diga is an "ancient" phone with good facilities for the times it appeared on the market. You can access fast the menu functions through shortcuts on the keys. The display is small, made only by one line of text, but it is used quite smart : the text slides from one side to another. The buttons are very nice and soft (I like them more that any others now on market!!!).
