Not enough benefits to outweigh the problems

Advantages: modem on hold software
Disadvantages: not any faster than my previous modem; uninstallation was a disaster

I bought the modem for 2 reasons: everything was supposed to be faster (making the connection, downloading, etc) and the modem-on-hold feature. Comparing it with my 7-year-old generic modem, the connection time with the Blaster modem is only about a second faster. Downloads are definitely not faster, and may be slower; phone line conditions vary, so it's impossible to say for sure. Definitely not enough speed advantage to make it worth the money! ...

Advantages: quick, easy and good value for money
Disadvantages: none

I have heard in the past that these were not as good as home broadband, but in my opinion its just as good, especially as i am in rented accomodation and there is no cable point installed already. This product was really easy to install only took about 15 minutes and it was ready to use. Cheap Cheerful and Connected

Advantages: Small, easy to use, great deals
Disadvantages: If obtained on contract the contract will be for 24 months

...I went down to the o2 store to see what they could offer me, I managed to get the o2 usb modem E169 for free, the monthly price plan was meant to be £14.99 but at the time they had it on offer at £9.79 per month for the first 4 months which was great considering I got 3GB a month and unlimted use of wi-fi.
