A Song for Issy Bradley

Advantages: fantastic read
Disadvantages: Very sad in places

...This is another book that I saw on NetGalley that I liked the look of and thankfully my request for the book was granted.  While I was leafing through the chapter titles, I noticed a few were Biblical references which did put me off slightly as although I ...

Tanamera - the not so sinister side of Singapore

Advantages: A really good read based on sound author knowledge of the island
Disadvantages: His other books tend to be a bit similar but set in different places

Gutted it Wasn't Better

Advantages: Well paced
Disadvantages: Unrealistic ending

There’s always a risk in taking on a new author, even in a genre that suggests you should enjoy the book. The quotes on the backs of books are usually unanimous in their praise and can’t be relied upon to be an accurate judge of the quality between the c ...
