In being a young professional looking for a mortgage, I have found the process of hunting for a mortgage to be a very daunting experience, because there are hundreds of websites on the web that claim to offer helpful and easy to understand advice. On examining these sites, I have found that most of them are very complicated to navigate in that the text is often too small to read and the loads of links scattered across the page are overwhelming. The inadequate explainations for these links also left me confused.

I'm not familiar with mortgages, but the terminology that they used I was not familiar with and they didn't really give any explainations or clues as to what they meant. Even though they do provide a mortgage calculator, most of them did not work properly, if at all.

Unlike other websites, I must say that I am very impressed with Moneymuscle.co.uk. When I came across the site, I was drawn to the easy reading layout of the site. Nothing was hidden. I could see across the top of the page exactly what I wanted in that everything was layed out for me to see. I didn't have to click six links to find a page that I could understand.

Moneymuscle has various features that also make it a more appealing site to visit. The mortgage comparison tab was handy to have because all I had to do was click it in order to see the newest mortgages available. From what I have seen, these figures change on a daily basis to keep up with the market.

Other features that I found helpful were the mortgage calculator and the jargon buster. What suprised me the most was that they had a mortgage calculator that actually WORKED! It seems that on a lot of sites do not make sure that everything is in working order. The jargon buster was also a priceless tool. It helped me to understand all the terms that are used when researching a mortgage.

Finally, I would have to say that the most invaluable tool on the site was the sticky note that allowed me to look up a mortgage adviser in my area. All I had to do was put in my post code and it showed me exactly who was available in my area.
