Monitor Audio does it again... Wow!!

Advantages: *AMAZING* Clarity, Depth and Soundstage, Compact!
Disadvantages: May have trouble filling larger rooms

and ready to go at home. I always loved listening to my Rock music through my Sennheiser headphones, as they managed to give the music exactly as it should sound - None added, none taken away. Deep, juicy lows and crisp, sharp highs are what make the Sennheiser headphones the article of choice when it comes to a relaxing music session - But what if I wanted Green Day at loud, floorshaking volumes? The headphones would distort, and my ancient Wharfedale speakers certainly were not up to the job. They quake in their boots at the Windows XP Logon sound, let alone an hour of continuous, devastatingly loud Punk Rock! So do the Monitor Audio Bronze B1's keep music as it was recorded? Thankfully, the answer is yes. It really does sound as if my room has been teleported to a live concert if I crank up a live recording of a good concert! I ...

Brilliant Bargain Bookshelf speakers

Advantages: Bass is deep and detailed, terrific presence, lively and engaging
Disadvantages: Mid range could be more open

the midrange but as noted, for around 200.00 this is a fantastic bargain. Both these and the new Wharfedale 10.1's illustrate the very best of what the budget speaker market has to offer and it's sure to impress. What also displays just how highly regarded these speakers is the fact that we have not witnessed a price drop. Which is also excellent news for those who are considering buying these now and perhaps selling them at a later date. ...

Cracking BR2s

Advantages: very detailed resolution but also warm sounding. Build, Looks, Cost, not fussy about positioning
Disadvantages: perhaps too refined and not enough bite, but none really

cd player with my favourite album, turnt the amplifier knob round to about 9o'clock and sat down to listen in. What you hear is very much beyond your expectations when you've paid a mere £180. You get a rich, room filling sound which simply emerses you. The bass is both incredibly powerful for cabinets of this size as well as very taut and disciplined, as mentioned before the detail from the higher end frequencies is phenomenal. You are left with an experience which is rich and warm, but incredibly detailed, and therefore a fully involved listen, it really does make you want to listen to your favourite cds a hell of a lot more often. As what hi-fi said when these speakers won the grouptest, you would probably have to spend twice as much on a pair of speakers to hear a fair improvement over these beautys. What hifi did however mention one ...
