Review of Monitor Audio GOLD GS10

Monitor Audio does it again... Wow!!

Advantages: *AMAZING* Clarity, Depth and Soundstage, Compact!
Disadvantages: May have trouble filling larger rooms

and ready to go at home. I always loved listening to my Rock music through my Sennheiser headphones, as they managed to give the music exactly as it should sound - None added, none taken away. Deep, juicy lows and crisp, sharp highs are what make the Sennheiser headphones the article of choice when it comes to a relaxing music session - But what if I wanted Green Day at loud, floorshaking volumes? Monior Audio Silver RS-6

Advantages: Great for jazz, folk, unplugged instruments, vocals

First impressions are that they sound very good with lighter recordings i.e. jazz quartets / quintets; acoustic blues and folk; vocals. The output is natural, revealing revealing and detailed. However I was less than impressed for heavier recordings of rock and jazz. I find the highs a bit bright and the lows not well defined. I hear bass notes a bit too loose and lines blurry. Both main and inter connect cables are Cyrus. The speakers are bi-amped. Let's hope 200 hrs of break in works. ...
