Disadvantages: keeps on going blank

I have had my IBM monitor for about two years now and I keep on experiencing a rather strange problem, the monitor keeps on going blank and then clicking back on. I have tried the fact it could be down to electrical overdose of the plugs, but that hasn’t fixed it (as my friends calls it-when ou have to many sockets on one adapter). I bought this screen a while back for about a Hundred pounds. i used it to replace my old CRT which was taking up a lot of space. THE SPEC At the time it had a good spec with a good luminance of 300 cd/m2. this is still quite bright for the standards of today and is brilliant for desk work and surfing. to tell you the truth it is really good with your games console and is great to watch movies. ...this is extremely good because it is hard to find this high resolution on HD televisions.
