Flat Screen Products
Review of Iiyama Pro Lite AS4821DT by

Advantages: takes up less room. swings at all angles. easy to read and use.
Disadvantages: sometimes break easier.
I dont know about you buy when flat screens were invented there was a whole new light on life.
I worked in IT for 6 years and we used them for users a lot. The amount of room people had on their desks compared to the old big fat style monitors was enormous and people couldnt praise them more. It was easier for the likes of us to install. Carryable. Less heavy and made life a whole lot easier. I dont know about anyone else but the picture on the ... ...well.
To see a screen like this as well be able to swivel and turn to be in any position you want was amazing. If you have to obey to health and safety rules like we did then these are the things to buy. You dont get any noise coming from them. They are flat so they dont push up against your wall like the big bulky ones did and take half the wallpaper off. I think they are fantastic and cannot wait for the next development of IT to come out just ...

19" silver treat
Review of Iiyama Pro Lite E481S by
trevorbrock
Advantages: Sharp, well-priced, easy setup, dvi and sound
Disadvantages: None that I have noticed
For a long time, a 17" TFT has been fine for me, but the old eyes are getting weaker.!
I just do not like wearing glasses when working on the computer.
So my excuses were all in place to start looking for a 19" model.
This one has Dvi - the Digital Video Interface which maximises the link between modern LCD panels and high end video cards, a good brand reputation, reasonable contrast stats, and a slim bezel.
It has a couple of speakers which ... ...near to spec and price.
Setting up was really non-existent. I just plugged in, switched on and away it went. Not even a sign on the machine that new hardware was detected.!
I needed to dim the brightness a bit to begin with, because this is a very bright picture.
I tried to do this without reference to the manual, but did not get there right away. A quick look at the manual, and it was dead simple.
Though at first glance, a 19" does not sound ...

Absolute stunner of a monitor.
Review of Iiyama Pro Lite E1900S-B2 by
crowlord
Advantages: Stunning 2ms respose time and superb image quality
Disadvantages: Rubbish waste of time built in speakers. No tilt function.
After struggling to read my 19" iilyama CRT which really was reaching the end of its life i decided to splash out on the ProLite E1900S. Well I say splash out, I was surprised at how cheaply I could pick this monitor up. The feature that swung it was the DVI input and I could't wait to see how that performed.
The DVI cable is NOT included so you would need to order one separately.
On connection the monitor was instantly displaying and my screen ... ...Construction is clean and nice with a balance and style to the surround. The tiny speakers sit nicely in the frame either side of the buttons. I have never used these however. I imagine they cannot perform to well so ignored them. Five buttons complete the layout 1, down, up, 2 and power. There is also a two colour LED indicator (green and yellow). The screen is flawless, no reflection at all and no dead pixels when run with an industry tester. Viewing ...

Best £400 I've spent recently
Review of Iiyama Pro Lite E481S-S by
Gonzoid
Advantages: Excellent Quality, Easy to use
Disadvantages: No volume control
A 19 inch TFT panel screen with a small foot-print stand, ideal for freeing up desk space. A maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 which it handles effortlessly with perfect clarity. I prefer to use it at 1152 x 864 but that’s because of a deficiency with my eye-sight rather than any problem with the monitor.
Connections are: Analogue and Digital (DVI) Video, Line In/Line Out Jacks and a Headphone Jack Socket, but no volume control.
Controls include ... ...to use. Interestingly, as it is not a documented feature, it appears to auto adjust the image alignment when switching screens. I use it with a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch to connect to 4 PCs. Each PC Video card has slightly different characteristics so switching between machines can upset image alignment, but the Prolite seems to take it in it’s stride.
In short, I would heartily recommend this, it’s the best £400 I’ve spent in a long while, ...
