The Hannsg HG216DP monitor is a 22" monitor; with an aspect ratio of 16:10.It comes with a VGA port and an HDCP port, the latter allowing connection to a HD games console or a digital connection when connected to a PC through a HDMI>DVI Adapter. After upgrading to this monitor from a 17" TFT, I was very impressed with the difference. The obvious difference is the space you have for your desktop - 22", whilst not the biggest screen on offer, is more than enough to get plenty of working space on the desktop, and also offers a great view of games. It runs at a maximum resolution of 1680x1050, which makes games look extremely crisp. The response time is 5ms, again not the best but still fast ...
...casing itself is glossy black, and is nice and compact around the screen, so it doesn't look bulky on the desktop. It can also be tilted or swiveled to find the perfect viewing angle. Picked this up in the sales from PC World for £129 and what a surprise ! I expected it to be a mediocre monitor for the price but how wrong I am. Took it out of the box and plugged it straight in, no drivers to load, just changed the display settings to 1680x 1050. Makes surfing, spreadsheets etc so much easier to use than my old 21" CRT despite my PC being a little past it. Not a great gamer so can't really comment on performance when gaming but ... Read review
