SyncMaster 2693HM - The User's Review
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 2693HM by Coops2404

Advantages: Amazing glossy screen, HDMI Input, 1080p Full-HD, Sexy looking
Disadvantages: None that I can think of

Well... what can I say? Buying the SyncMaster 2693HM for use with my Xbox 360 and Playstation is one of the best things I have done in a long time. The high-gloss screen is 26 inches of sublime 1080p FULL-HD goodness. The refresh rates are like lightning and you will no longer be behind anyone else when gaming. This monitor/tv is simply superb. The looks of the SyncMaster are also eye-catching and the fact that it includes HMDI input is one of ... Read review

The Ferrari of the monitor world
Review of BenQ FP241W by ultracoolgiovanni

Advantages: looks amazing, dazzling clear picture quality, easy to install, bright display, huge amount of colour
Disadvantages: price and no built in audio

...hardware I was given 2 BenQ FP241W TFT monitors for use with my personal computers. After receiving confirmation of the order I was puzzled as to why they had made a purchase of a brand I had never heard of before so expected a pair of low-quality cheap monitors to appear. On delivery day I had the surprise of my life as they were unpacked and attached to my new base unit. They look so sophisticated and sexy in comparison to the monitors that were ...
...launches for NASA. The BenQ FP241W is an LCD monitor, which means that it uses liquid crystals to produce the picrure display. Until you have seen the quality of the picture you really will not believe it, the screen supports 16.7 million colours that exceed the quality of my LCD television at home, and I find that watching video clips is far superior on the monitor than on most HD televisions. This is partly due to the HDMI interface. What more ... Read review

Philips Brilliance 200W6CS
Review of Philips Brilliance 200W6CS by lucasade1

Advantages: Size
Disadvantages: cost

I received my Philips 200W6CS yesterday and am pretty happy with it so far, Having a widescreen does make quite a difference to me. The colours seem set more vibrant on this but apart from them being smaller there is really no real difference in the clarity of them compared to the Videoseven screen updated from. I have tested the gaming performance and it is much improved on Freedom Force there is only a little loss of focus if you move the mouse ...
...but it does not blur colours or blacks like before, with Prince of Persia WW it's much improved too, Before the Prince had a black afterglow around him now there is nothing I can see. The monitor does have the much talked about Backlight bleeding issue as on the Dell monitors (in all four corners when screen is displaying black) Picture included, and I can that see the black is not true black this was more noticeable in Doom3 as when I first run ... The Hannsg HG216DP Review!!
Review of HANNS.G HG216DP by TheTechGuy0

Advantages: Perfect picture on native resolution, HDMI Port, satisfactory design and no blurring.
Disadvantages: Bad speakers; not terrible, bad HD quality, text breaks down and hard monitor base installation

The Hannsg HG216DP monitor is a 22" monitor; with an aspect ratio of 16:10.It comes with a VGA port and an HDCP port, the latter allowing connection to a HD games console or a digital connection when connected to a PC through a HDMI>DVI Adapter. However the VGA port should provide a similar quality experience, the only problem is that it's bound to get some interferance; this is very rare though and i am yet to experience such a thing. This monitor ...
...the resolution is lowered the text starts to break down very badly and is barely readable from a distance of a metre or so. This text breaking also reduces the prospect of a good PS3 HD gaming experience as 720p. This is as 720p is a resolution of 1280 x 720; hence 720, when the monitor is set to this resolution the text breaks down..... ... Read review

One hell of a monitor
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 931C by donnyo

Advantages: Reliable brand, excellent design, excellent picture, worth every penny.
Disadvantages: Have yet to find any!

...to get mine direct from Samsung with a warranty as this one was refurbished stock. Suffice to say that I would happily buy another of these monitors if the time came. I trust Samsung as this is the third screen I've had from them (the others being the 42" lcd and a 42" rear projection before that. They are among the leaders in their field and they like to be at the forefront of design for a reasonable price. This is what makes them in my eyes, they ... Read review
