Philips 220WS8FS
Review of Philips 220WS8FS by
mascall84
Advantages: Good Value, Good specification and features, Low power.
Disadvantages: I cant find any disadvantages
This screen is very reasonably priced for a 22" from a well respected and established manufacturer. The slim bezel design is a pleasure on the eyes and the picture quality is as good as we have all come to expect from Phillips. For those concerned about the environment and power consumption this is a winner on all levels. Not only does it comply with all ROHS standars it also has the lowest power consumption of its class across the industry. This ...

Not bad!
Review of Philips Brilliance 170P7ES by
thewhitewolf
Advantages: great looker, superb quality
Disadvantages: would like a larger screen
A great looking and superb monitor that suits a fast processing desktop. brilliant ergomomic design especially with that silver trim and 17 inches to top it all off. Now we get to the tough part - how does it perform!
Max resolution is 1280 pixels x 1024 pixels with an okay response time of 8ms. Images are sharp, vivid, with good contrast of 600:1. not the best but more than enough for the gaming that i do. the screen is very nice and clear with ... ...It would be very good for an office worker or someone who works at home and needs a great monitor to do their work on. I only wish the screen were larger so that my games would be that more realistic onscreen but you cant have everything and the thing actually exceeds your expectations as to what to expect. Other than the small size i would heartily recommend this model from last year. ...

The Hannsg HG216DP Review!!
Review of HANNS.G HG216DP by
TheTechGuy0
Advantages: Perfect picture on native resolution, HDMI Port, satisfactory design and no blurring.
Disadvantages: Bad speakers; not terrible, bad HD quality, text breaks down and hard monitor base installation
The Hannsg HG216DP monitor is a 22" monitor; with an aspect ratio of 16:10.It comes with a VGA port and an HDCP port, the latter allowing connection to a HD games console or a digital connection when connected to a PC through a HDMI>DVI Adapter. However the VGA port should provide a similar quality experience, the only problem is that it's bound to get some interferance; this is very rare though and i am yet to experience such a thing. This monitor ... ...the resolution is lowered the text starts to break down very badly and is barely readable from a distance of a metre or so. This text breaking also reduces the prospect of a good PS3 HD gaming experience as 720p. This is as 720p is a resolution of 1280 x 720; hence 720, when the monitor is set to this resolution the text breaks down..... ...

One hell of a monitor
Review of Samsung SyncMaster 931C by
donnyo
Advantages: Reliable brand, excellent design, excellent picture, worth every penny.
Disadvantages: Have yet to find any!
...to get mine direct from Samsung with a warranty as this one was refurbished stock. Suffice to say that I would happily buy another of these monitors if the time came. I trust Samsung as this is the third screen I've had from them (the others being the 42" lcd and a 42" rear projection before that. They are among the leaders in their field and they like to be at the forefront of design for a reasonable price. This is what makes them in my eyes, they ...

A MUST-NOT for your PC...
Review of AG Neovo X20AV by
Mr.Freeman
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: You'll soon find out why its cheap...
...in recent years. The AG screen is by far one of the cheapest monitor screens for computers you can buy (hence why my college has so many). The screen, although resiliant to the aggresive use of students has so many flaws to it that it would be inconceivable for another to buy such a screen. The screen only has to be brushed and smudges appear which take a lifetime to 'work' out.
Quite often, the colour contrast settings will abruptly change and ... ...is limited due to the alluminium alloy on the outside and they sometimes hum in warm weather...Strange I know....
So should you lower your budget, I do not suggest purchasing an AG unless you enjoying irritating humming noises, colour displays in the middle of important work and the heaviness. ...
