Stocks
This feature is not one that really interests me (mainly because I don't really understand stocks!) and I doubt I would ever really use it however it enable you to check the stock market by just tapping the menu icon.
iTunes
iTunes is where you can purchase music, videos, games, audiobooks and tv shows. It is the application you will need to install on your computer to be able to link your iPod Touch to your computer in order to transfer music etc. iTunes is free to download to your computer and for convenience is already installed on the iPod Touch. It is also now possible to rent movies on iTunes much in the way you would do from a video store just all online!

Another factor I'm not keen on is the menu on the iPod is split in two - on the left hand side are your options to take you to a particular place in your iPod (music, video, movies) and on the right-hand side are 'floating' pictures either from your music or photo collection. This is all very good and well, but there's no way of setting a background, eg a particularly favourite photograph, which can be displayed while listening to all your songs. I could do this on my previous MP3/4 players and liked that particular function. But it's no biggie! The battery life is also pretty weak - I have to charge mine practically every day - it definitely doesn't last the 30 hours like it says (however, I resolved this by turning down my screen brightness, which saves HOURS. Apple IPod Touch 8GB
Apple has always been the forerunner in the field of MP3 players. I bought my first iPod3 years ago, the iPod 4 GB mini, I was quite pleased at first but after a while the battery stopped working, but it remains to be seen whether or not this is the case with the Touch.
I spent quite a while looking around for the best price, in the end I opted for eBay! I now think that I should've waited for the right one to come around, I chose to buy a new one for £150. However, when I looked at the Apple website they were £199 so I saved £50 which was worth the risk on eBay as it often is. I also bought a case and an i-trip.
