Advantages Wonderful smell, feels nice, good price
Disadvantages Washing it off is a nightmare, better ones on the market.
Back with another face masque! As you know from reading my reviews I’m a huge fan of face masques and looking after my skin. I think it is really important to take time out for that much need ‘me’ time. I always feel ten times more relaxed, more at ease ready to face the world.
‘Take a deep breath of our self – warming Chocolate Orange masque and you'll be in chocolate heaven! Mediterranean Clay cleanses dirt and oils from deep within pores. Rich dark chocolate and orange oil leave skin feeling soft and refreshed’
Well this masque has to be one of the messiest ones I have used and for the results given I question myself it is worth it?
Suitable for –
Following the instructions I cleansed my face with just warm water, you then have to leave face wet to apply the masque. Smoothing the contents over my face I could feel a wonderful warming sensation. The warmth was really nice and it didn’t get to hot, it was comfortable and certainly relaxing. I carried on applying the masque avoiding eyes and lips as stated. Once my face was covered it is recommended that you leave the masque on to works it magic for 10-15 minutes.
The warming feeling for me only really last while massaging the masque over my face, after that you can just feel a mild warmth. While relaxing you can smell a rich gorgeous chocolaty scent with hints of orange, kind of like you have melted a Terry’s Chocolate Orange and smoothed it over your face. The scent was inviting and it really makes you want some chocolate! I would buy this masque again just for aroma, it was like I was floating on clouds of chocolate heaven.
Now when it comes to removing this masque I found it to be on the stubborn side, normally I splash my face with warm water then use a wet face fennel to remove it completely. However as some masques go dry over your face this one didn’t it stayed like a chocolate liquid the duration of leaving it on my face. So when I was rinsing my face it just made it more and more gooey. So the best action was really to just keep wetting the flannel and rubbing my face.
Once I managed to remove the masque completely my skin did feel soft and moisturised but this masque for me fails on the cleansing. The masque works by using Mediterranean clay to remove toxins in your skin and help hydrate tired skin. Around my nose where it is on the greasy side I must say I did see an improvement there which I was rather impressed by. Then we have the vitamin c, which is there to help cleanse the skin by aiding the removal of trapped dirt. Which I was a little let down by as it my face didn’t feel as cleansed; I’ve had much better results from other masques.
It is recommended that you use this masque twice weekly to keep seeing the benefits; I personally think you get two applications out of this pack. The masque is on the runny side but covers face twice over, luckily, so I didn’t have to waste any masque my friend was here so I spreaded the rest of the masque over her too! She too was wrapped up in the aroma and agrees it doesn’t seem to go at cleansing.
This masque comes in a sachet which has been chocolate and orange theme to match its contents. It is in my opinion a little on the busy however still fun looking and intriguing. Still I’m unsure if I would use this masque again. As nice as it feels the hassle removing this one and the cleansing not being brilliant for me I doubt I shall purchase this one.
This masque will cost £1.09 from most retailers; however you can get gift packs which work out cheaper per masque. Also on the Montagne Jeunesse web site they are offering 4 for the price of 3.

To start with I was in love with this masque, the smell, and the warms, how it felt on my skin. BUT when it comes to removing and the after effect I felt slightly disappointed. I can not see myself purchasing this one, as they Montagne Jeunesse has much better ones available.
Three out of five stars from me.
Thanks for reading.
