Mookie Delta Sledge

I bought this great little snow sledge for the little lad and me and his mum last year. I managed to get it for £8 online. The one we have is in bright red (not blue as per the Ciao! Picture) and it has a red rope for pulling. The rope is perhaps a little bit on the thin side and a bit short so next time we use it (if we get snow again this year) I think I shall be changing the rope as it can hurt if you are pulling it over long distances, even with gloves on, it bites into the skin a bit.

The sledge appears to be long lasting and it is made of good quality plastic (polyethylene) and I t is 36” x 9” and fairly deep. It is an ideal size for our little lad as he tucks his rear end into the dipped bit at the back. I am able to sit on it too as I have slid down many snowy banks during last year’s deep snowfalls. It’s good fun (and fast!).

The approved age for this sledge is 3 – 13 years of age so it is ideal for our little lad as he is just going on seven. What I personally like about this sledge is that it is frost resistant and when we left it out in extremely low temperatures last year in our back garden area, it did not crack and there are no signs of any wear and tear, let along chipping or breaking.

At the minute it is hanging up on the garage inside wall just waiting to be used again and every time the little lad sets eyes on it, it reminds him of the fun we had with it last year and he keeps asking me when it will snow again!

This is a brilliant little kid’s sledge and well worth the money. The design is good and I like the shape of the rim and the one piece design means it slides perfectly and is a good shape to sit on – very comfortable and definitely highly recommended.
