MOP C System Hydrating Shampoo

I first came across MOP products a couple of years ago when I tried a new hairdresser. The salon was full of posters and advertising for the brand, and I'm always a sucker for a new product, so I decided to try it. This shampoo was my first purchase and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I buy my MOP online, as it is not a common salon brand, although should be in my opinion, so its final downside is availability. However all its limitations are outweighed by its unique formula, and it is always my first choice.

The salon was full of posters and advertising for the brand, and I'm always a sucker for a new product, so I decided to try it. This shampoo was my first purchase and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I have suffered for years from itching, thin, flaking skin on my scalp, scratching so hard it would bleed. i've tried all the anti dandruff shampoos, from the most basic supermarket brands to the expensive salon formulas and none of them have helped. Some made it worse. I tried prescription treatments from the doctors, again made no difference. Then I tried this shampoo.

It isn't marketed as an anti dandruff shampoo but has a different formulation to most shampoos - it doesn't contain sodium laureth sulphate, which is found in nearly all shampoos and bubble baths. Within one wash I had stopped itching. A couple more washes, the flaking had gone. If you've tried everything else, this may be the solution for you. No-one had ever suggested the problem could be an allergy.

Now for the other things!

I'm not that keen on the packaging, I have to admit. I like a glamourous, expensive looking packaging. I like everyone at the gym to look at my shampoo and instantly know its a salon brand. Still, its an easy to spot cheerful colour, and the square shape fits easily in a bag ofrbathroom cabinet. It is distinctive. The flip top lid is a bit flimsy and prone to snapping off, which is the worse part of the packaging.

The actual shampoo is a thick pearly white liquid, it lathers very well so only a tiny bit is needed, so it is a very economical shampoo. Even if you shampoo twice, it rinses cleanly and quickly. It smells fabulous - not a 'perfumed' scent but a fresh, fruity smell, your hair smells clean but it doesn't clash with your perfume. My husband uses it when he thinks I'm not looking, so its a unisex product.
