Modern Organic Products (MOP) are a hair and body care range that was launched in 1998 use certified organic and food-derived ingredients which work to cleanse and moisturise the hair in a gentle and healthy way. We now don't have to compromise effective products with natural ingredients, and vice versa.
The ingredients list on each of the bottles reads like a recipe! Those ingredients in the list that are certified organic are marked with an asterisk and all of the fragrances are created by the natural ingredients, not artificial additions. MOP never test on animals and every product is suitable for pregnant women. Some products such as those in the Pear range are particularly good for children.
As i stated in the extreme protein review, there are three ranges within MOP: Core, C-System and Glisten (see other reviews). Extreme moisture is part of the Core range which is simplified hair (and body) care catered to your specific needs such as Basil Mint for dry, flaky scalp, lemongrass for fine hair, mixed greens for dry, porous hair and all of the styling products including the two intensive treatments, extreme protein and extreme moisture.
Extreme moisture is designed for dry or chemically treated hair and is intended to replenish moisture and leave hair feeling soft and restored. You get a 200ml tube for about £9.00. It is packed with lots of yummy ingredients such as certified organic apple and banana juice which deep conditions and encourages moisture retention. Molasses encourages thickness and certified organic glodensean root extract seals in moisture and shine, along with coconut oil, vitamin e, evening primrose oil and honey. All naturally derived.
My favourite thing to do with this treatment is use an equal amount combined with an equal amount of extreme protein, mixed together, then apply all over wet hair after shampooing. You then get a strengthening and moisturising deep treatment. Or you can simply use this on its own. It looks a bit like banana cream, thick and luxurious.
It doesnt really have a distinctive smell, possibly banana but its not an obvious smell. The application details say to leave on for 5-10 minutes but i like to leave it on overnight and then wash out when i wake up. Again, as with the extreme protein, the tube lasts for ages.
The results that i get are really good. My hair feels really moisturised and restored and it makes me feel better than its all natural. I would say to make sure that you rinse well though because it does feel like an emolient cream. Nothing worse than spending 20 minutes blowdrying to then feel a residue on your hair and you want to wash it all over again!
