I can't begin to descirbe how much i like these speakers.
The sound quality is incredibly clear. Very occasionally, older/lower quality recordings can sound a bit nasal, but this is not an issue. Everything from Led Zeppelin to Madonna is reproduced with almost frightening clarity and realism. These speakers sound incredibly open and warm, and are incredibly musical
Bass is something that Mordaunt Short have always done very well. These speakers go down to 55Hz, although in-room this is far lower. The bass is very flexible, yet still dry. They can do the deep sine sweeps often found in music by bands like the chemical brothers, but a bass drum in music by the white stripes is reproduced with equal weight and drive
The treble that comes from the aluminium dome tweeter is fantastically clean. It sounds very sharp for an acoustic guitar or a cymbal, it really cuts. It stays balanced at almost any volume, and has no problems with going loud. To me, the treble is on a par with JBL and Celestion and sounds far more crisp than the fabric tweeters that many other manufacturers use
Mid (escpecially the vocal band) is very transparent and clean. and again this stays transparent and clean, regardless of volume.
These speakers look stunning. There is no other way to describe them. With the black grills on, they look fairly normal, apart from the very deep cabinets (which help with the bass extension). With the grills off, they look awesome. The faceplate is all silver aluminium, with clean lines around the tweeter. The bass driver is made from aluminium, and is a silvery white with a very attractive sheen to it. The CPC (Constant Profile Cone) technology means the cone is a completely smooth dish, with no dust plugs or anything sticking up. The tweeter is covered by a (removable) black grill, which makes no difference to the sound quality and provides valuable protection for the delicate high frequency unit. The only thing that lets the looks down is the 4 rubber grommets that the grills use to stay on.
The cabinets are very durable, made from 18 or 21 mm MDF. Only things that are delicate are the bass drivers, as they are made of very thin aluminium, which could easily be dented.
For £200, these speakers are fantastic value for money. They sound easily as good as speakers costing 4 times as much. Run them Bi-amped, and ther are absolutely unbeatable
I have been looking at these all week every web page you can think of! I saw them today for real in HIFI Corner Edinburgh. They look awsome. I did not by them however because they are priced everywhere at £149 and comet are selling them for £99. Gues where I am going tonight?
Thanks
Dave

Good review, clear and to the point - looking to exchange my Gales for one of these as the Gales are really disappointing but these are looking good from every source.
