I Puchased a Reconditioned Compaq Laptop from Morgan, and I was disappointed.
I planned to use the laptop for music, and was pretty upset when i found that the audio only played through the left channel. I plugged headphones in, and this was the same.Next I noticed that the screen went totally white intermittently, and could only be reset by pressing the screen on/off switch and restarting the screen.
The final straw was that the lid catches had broken springs, and the lid would not close.Although this is a second hand unit, I still paid many hundreds of pounds for it and I was sadly let down.
Do Morgan actually recondition these units!? If anyone had turned it on, and used it for any period of time they would have noticed the screen fault, or the audio, or at the very least the fact the lid didn't close!I found it difficult to get a refund, as they were trying to insist on a repair, but my lack of confidence in the company was my reason for refusal of this. I'm going to take my money elsewhere. Morgan: Try harder.

That was a fine first op, although a little more detail such as prices and so on would help, not a bad effort though :) James

A good first opinion - welcome to Ciao! I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with Morgan. Have you considered consulting with Trading Standards? If you bought it for a purpose, and it is not fit for that purpose, I believe you are legally entitled to a refund. Perhaps you could mention this to Morgan and see if their attitude changes... Regards, TT.
First port of call should really be the trading standards. They are used to such companies not fulfilling their customers rights. Fionaxx
