Now first things first, I LOVE Morgan clothes. This French based company create clothes that seem to cater for all tastes (my sister and I have completely different fashion sense- she tends to go for the very tight, low cut styles ("Tart!", I hear you scream!), while I go for the more floaty feminine styles- but we both rave about Morgan clothing) They seem to get new stock in all the time and keep bang up to date with the latest fashions (at the moment they do loads of gorgeous floaty chiffon floral tops- mmmmmm), displaying everything in an attractive, non-cluttered way.
Having now raved about how much I love their clothes, I now reluctantly have to come to the inevitable downside. I'm sure everyone has experienced those designer shops where you walk in and feel like the shop assistants are judging whether or not you look good enough to shop in THEIR shop. This is the only way I can describe the atmosphere in Morgan. They always have someone on the door, supposedly to welcome you (or to check you don't steal anything!) but to me it feels like they're looooking at you thinking "what are you doing here?". Call me paranoid if you will (and many people do!) but I'm sure I'm not alone on this one.
Being a French company, Morgan use a different sizing scheme, tops being either size 1 (small) or size 2 (slightly bigger)and skirts and trousers being sized according to waist size. They do not seem to cater for sizes bigger than a 12 (presumably to stop the "fat" people entering their shop)
The pricing of the clothes is another thing which makes me wonder if Morgan actually want anyone to shop there at all! While they are not as expensive as some shops I could name, I would say that they are overpriced. You can expect to pay £25 for a plain top, £45 for a floaty chiffon top, £40 for a skirt and upwards of £60 for a pair of trousers.
Customer service wise, the assistants are very good at asking you if you're okay with the sizing but once I spent ages (being slightly shorter than the average height!) trying to reach a top and the assistants just stood there laughing at me! :o( I have to say that in general, Morgan shop assistants are pretty snooty and rude - it's not a designer shop, it's just a high street store, get over yourselves!
Another gripe I have is the quality. In some of the clothes I have bought from Morgan the quality has been superb but in one top that I bought, small holes have appeared in the fabric of the material (and it was my absolute favourite top too!!) and when I checked others in the shop, they all had the same problem! Now unless I have clothesworms in my wardrobe, I don't think this is acceptable quality for something priced £40.
However, my love of Morgan clothes has been satisfied now in the form of House of Fraser! They sell Morgan clothes without the ritual humitiation of snooty shop assistants eyeing you up and down to see if you are the 'right kind of person'! Thank you House of Fraser!!!
Advantages: Good designs, fashionable clothes Disadvantages: Not designed for women with hips and boobs
...size 10 trying on a Morgan garment; you're not likely to fit into it, anyway!
I do find this a little puzzling, because I workout regularly; I am pretty fit and I am a size 10-12 (depending which shop I buy in); but I cannot fit my bottom into Morgan trousers!!!! They only seem to stock two sizes - toothpick and stick insect - and neither of them fit me!
Are there any women out there who can fit into these clothes - or should I simply be doing ... ...I am fat. Shops like Morgan just increase the pressure on us girls to starve ourselves into unnatural thinness, and really something should be done about it. They are basically saying that you are not fashionable unless you are a skeleton.
Almost to add insult to injury, the Morgan shop near me is so tiny too; so that if you are over a size 12, you probably won't be able to squeeze down the aisle, anyway, without knocking something over.
It's a ...

Advantages: Good quality at affordable prices Disadvantages: In store shopping can be very humiliating
I love Morgan but i don't think Morgan loves me.
I like to buy trendy clothes but it seems these days that if you are over the age of 20 and bigger than a size 8 you cannot go in the shops you want to without getting the most awful glares and sniggers from the shop assistants. I think us 'oldies' (i'm 29) and 'bigger people' (i'm size 12) are not within the image that Morgan likes to convey.
It doesn't seem to matter that us 'past it' people are ... ...issue of sizes, alot of Morgan clothing is one size fits all, but of the items that aren't i have never had a problem fitting into the size 12 that i am.
Sometimes the colour range of outfits is a little limited. If Morgan decide that red and white are the 'in' colours then you will have very little choice outside of those, but give it a week or two and you'll have black and blue, or pink and yellow, so eventually you will get the outfit you want ...

...have ever been into a Morgan store and looked behind the models in the window, you can see reams of fabric pinned up behind to make the clothes look great. But when you try them on yourself, the look really bad because the never fit properly. Unless you buy a top made of lycra. Also, Morgan definatly have a trouser problem. They have the proportions all wrong. They are obviously designed for short sixe 6/8's. Even if I find a pair of trousers to ... ...Morgan always try to keep with the fashion and the trends. But they do it in such a....bold way that I'm surprised they ever sell any clothes! To be honest, alot of the clothes come across as slutty. It's a shame because some have the potential to be really nice. It's just my taste I suppose.
As for the quality of the clothes, it's rather good. As long as you look after the garments properly, nobody should have any problems at all.
Despite all ...

Advantages: Bright clothing, which comes in arange of colours, have good stocking of sizes Disadvantages: Is it really worth your money? I thought it quite expensive and I found cheaper alternatives of the same items in other stores!!
...with a range of sizes. Morgan use the European sizing scheme, which is the same in germany and France. Tops come in size1 (small 8-10), size2 (medium 10-12), size3 ( large 12-14) etc, etc, etc. Skirts and trousers I have never bought from Morgan so unfortunately I can not offer you an insight as yet. A disappointing feature in the stores however, is how high they hang some of the tops- ie too high- Im 5'4 and I still cant reach it- please can they ... ...left me feeling contempt for MORGAN which is why I have only ventured there on the two previously mentioned occassions. I was extremely desparate for a top to go with a very unusual skirt ( I wanted sexy but not too revealling), so I can't tell you which store it was but i do believe it was in London (North). Most designer shops when you walk in can either be frendly (ie Bond Street especially Pringle) or you can feel like the shop assistants are ...

Advantages: High fashion Disadvantages: High prices too!
...it when i went into Morgan for the first time a while ago. I was at one of the local large shopping complexs and thought i'd pop in to see what they had to offer. A lot of famous people consider it to bee a cheaper version off the cat walk and i'd heard a lot about it, so when i had the opportunity, i thought i'd go in and see what they were all tlaking about. The momtent i walked in, i could tell this was no ordinary high street shop. Everything ... ...cousin would have trouble covering anything and being modest!! All the clothes seemed to be based onminimalist and covering as little as possible.. Also everything was sequin, and glittery and either bright pink or gold!! Not something i woul personally be seen dead in. If that wasn't bad enough, the first price tag i saw was for a little plain, gold halter neck top, but it was still about £45!! I coouldn't believe it - there was nothing to it!! ...

Advantages: lots of deals, cheap prices you can order the monthly flyer for free Disadvantages: not really
, if you search hard enough you can find some fantastic deals on old Pentium 2 base systems and old dot matrix printers. I myself have found some great deals and my last purchase was a pair of Aiwa SC-C48 10watt speakers for my sister’s computer. They cost me £14.99 which was well over a £20 saving. If you want to receive the monthly flyer you can leave your address on the site, I receive mine every month and it always contains new items for sale at low prices.
One of Morgan’s strong points is its great priced monitors; you can pick up monitors that have been barely used for dirt cheap compared to the prices in the shops. For instance a refurbished 17”monitor will set you back £83.99. But if you want a brand spanking new 17” monitor this will only cost you £93.99 which you must admit is an excellent price ...

Advantages: Value for money Disadvantages: Not the most up-to-date stock
The great thing about Morgan Computers is that what you see is what you get. Don't expect fancy sales talk, top of the range equipment or the like, but do expect good value for money if you are prepared to buy end of line stock. Reductions on high street and even online prices are considerable, though in the majority of cases you will have to sacrifice the irritating technical support premium rate phoneline that you would have had access to, had you indeed bought from a major high street or other retailer - how dreadful!
The deal is that they buy up the end of line stock from famous names and then resell at a fraction of the original price, because the machines have been superseded. But maybe a lesser specification machine suits your needs. Sure, it may not be very upgradeable or as powerful as you'd like, but you can save a hefty sum ...
