Now first things first, I LOVE Morgan clothes. This French based company create clothes that seem to cater for all tastes (my sister and I have completely different fashion sense- she tends to go for the very tight, low cut styles ("Tart!", I hear you scream!), while I go for the more floaty feminine styles- but we both rave about Morgan clothing) They seem to get new stock in all the time and keep bang up to date with the latest fashions (at the moment they do loads of gorgeous floaty chiffon floral tops- mmmmmm), displaying everything in an attractive, non-cluttered way.
Having now raved about how much I love their clothes, I now reluctantly have to come to the inevitable downside. I'm sure everyone has experienced those designer shops where you walk in and feel like the shop assistants are judging whether or not you look good enough to shop in THEIR shop. This is the only way I can describe the atmosphere in Morgan. They always have someone on the door, supposedly to welcome you (or to check you don't steal anything!) but to me it feels like they're looooking at you thinking "what are you doing here?". Call me paranoid if you will (and many people do!) but I'm sure I'm not alone on this one.
Being a French company, Morgan use a different sizing scheme, tops being either size 1 (small) or size 2 (slightly bigger)and skirts and trousers being sized according to waist size. They do not seem to cater for sizes bigger than a 12 (presumably to stop the "fat" people entering their shop)
The pricing of the clothes is another thing which makes me wonder if Morgan actually want anyone to shop there at all! While they are not as expensive as some shops I could name, I would say that they are overpriced. You can expect to pay £25 for a plain top, £45 for a floaty chiffon top, £40 for a skirt and upwards of £60 for a pair of trousers.
Customer service wise, the assistants are very good at asking you if you're okay with the sizing but once I spent ages (being slightly shorter than the average height!) trying to reach a top and the assistants just stood there laughing at me! :o( I have to say that in general, Morgan shop assistants are pretty snooty and rude - it's not a designer shop, it's just a high street store, get over yourselves!
Another gripe I have is the quality. In some of the clothes I have bought from Morgan the quality has been superb but in one top that I bought, small holes have appeared in the fabric of the material (and it was my absolute favourite top too!!) and when I checked others in the shop, they all had the same problem! Now unless I have clothesworms in my wardrobe, I don't think this is acceptable quality for something priced £40.
However, my love of Morgan clothes has been satisfied now in the form of House of Fraser! They sell Morgan clothes without the ritual humitiation of snooty shop assistants eyeing you up and down to see if you are the 'right kind of person'! Thank you House of Fraser!!!
I hate snotty assistants! I'm a size 8 and 19yrs old, so i fit the criteria of who should shop there, but i still feel they are looking at me as if they are wondering what an average looking girl is doing there! Nice clothes tho! xxx

I think the majorty of high street retailers are like this i.e. snooty despite the fct your dressed two times better than them. I havent actually been in a morgan shop. (If anyone knows of one is uxbridge, i just walk absent mindedly past with mates or especially b/f so i dont really notice, then could u message me or leave a note in my GB, thnx) but when i went debenhams, dont call me trampy it was for christmas presents - ok i admit i like debenhams its funny, they had a dressing gown from morgan and it was SOOOOOOOOOO soft. I needed one and i would have bought it if not for the price tag. It was something like £70 for a dressing gown. I could get 2 gliding flights towords my liscence for that price, so i left it alone. But it was sooooo soft lol i like soft things. Anyway brilliant review! x x x

I agree, it reminds me of Jane Norman, you pay top dollar but the quality is awful!
