Wot a great product and what a great price for it.
I bought this baby for £49 while browsing for Xmas gifts at Currys and there hasnt yet been a day that I havent used it.
The machine is sectioned in three parts: The Filter Coffee maker, the Milk Frother and the Espresso maker. You may have spotted each of these sections sold separately and looking the same as in this combo but the way they have combined these 3 parts together is ergonomic and very convenient.
All three parts feature thermostatic hotplates that heat up quickly and are also easy to clean.
The Filter Coffee maker can make up to 10 cups of coffee and uses a permanent filter that can be easily removed and cleaned. This for me was important as I didnt want to be buying paper filters all the time. You can adjust the strength of your coffee Weak-Med-Strong and you can make a full jug in just a few minutes (about 7 mins).
The Frother is placed neatly in the middle and features a stainless steal jug and a simple yet very conveniently placed button. The hotplate underneath can heat the milk in minutes and the froth made is nice and thick (thicker with cold milk).
The Espresso maker is similar in a way to the Filter Coffee section. It makes 6 cups of a coffee, the drip tray is detachable, the espresso pan is also detachable, you can select the strength of the coffee and the water tank is pressurized, all these for the perfect espresso! Again, all parts are easily removed and cleaned.
The machine comes with an easy to understand manual, a receipe book and a two year guarantee. Measuring spoons are included and each compartment, including hotplates etc are opperated separately for economy and ease.
The only bit that sort of confussed me in the beggining was the position of the water tank in the Filter Coffee section. But like anything in life you get so used to it that after awhile it seems to be in the perfect spot and you wouldnt have it elsewhere.
What I find best for this machine is the fact that apart from the coffee of my choice I dont have to buy nothing else to run it. The filters are there, the jugs are either stainless steal or thick glass with measures on them and the design is great. I love it and all my friends love the coffee it makes.
For £49 this was a bargain!

Ah this is the dreaded model with the frother which doesnt froth.. is this an actual steam gun or has Morphy Richards stuck to its tradition and kept the whisk part at the end. Youll have fun cleaning it if you try to froth up hot chocolate with it, then,.

Nice review. I liked the pictures you have added. I agree with what you say about running costs, they can add up!
