I bought the Morphy Richards 43139 cream traditional looking kettle for £29.99 from Argos. Originally this kettle was priced at £39.99, so when I purchased it I thought I was getting a good deal. My experience of using this kettle was that I wouldn’t say it’s the best kettle in the world but it does do the job. There are some minor drawbacks of this kettle but one of the main reasons why I purchased it was because I just loved the look and design ... ...chic.

There are some minor drawbacks of this kettle but one of the main reasons why I purchased it was because I just loved the look and design of it. I bought it especially to match my kitchen and the other kitchen appliances I having in my kitchen, and I must say it does look really nice and chic.

* Stylish Contemporary design – The kettle has a pyramid shape and the actual kettle is cream colour with a silver base and the handle is silver too. The design of the kettle is very old fashion but the colours make it so modern.
* 3.1 kW element for rapid boiling - The higher wattage makes the kettle more powerful and so it boil faster. This kettle has wattage of 3kWwhich makes classed as rapid boil kettle.
*Safety locking lid – Which is great to have if kids are using it because the lid is lockable and makes it safe for them to use the kettle. Opening of the lid of the kettle isn’t exactly hard labour but it takes even less effort to fill the kettle through a generously proportioned wide spout.
* Maximum Capacity 1.5 litres – This capacity is an average capacity like most kettles and you can also make so many cups of teas with one boil, which is great.
* 360 degree connector on cordless base - A 360 degree base means you can replace the kettle on the base to face in any direction. Also the kettles should be removed from the power base before filling, obvious if you fill your kettle with water from the tap, but not if you use filtered water from a jug.
* Removable lime scale filter - This refers to the mesh filter in the spout. It is very easy to remove for cleaning purposes and the mesh should be fine enough to stop any lime scale getting into your cup.
* Concealed element for easy cleaning and descaling – The kettle has concealed elements making it easier to clean.
* Water level indicator – This kettle has a recommended minimum amount of water for boiling which you can see.
* Automatic switch off – Able you to switch the kettle on and off when you want too.
The kettle is cordless which it super because the power cord is attached to a separate power base, so you're not restricted by the length of the cord when filling and pouring.
A Kettle is a container for boiling water: a plastic or metal container with a handle, spout, and lid, used for boiling water. A kettle is a kitchenware piece. , it is a device used to quickly heat water for hot drinks, such as tea or instant coffee. It is normally constructed out of durable plastic or steel (with a plastic handle) and powered by mains electricity. Once the water has reached boiling, the kettle automatically deactivates to prevent the water boiling away and damaging the heating element
The Morphy Richards 43139 kettle is very easy to clean, and a good clean kettle gives fast and effective boiling water for a good cup of tea. I believe cleaning and descaling your kettle to keeps it in good working order. You can use vinegar for cleaning or you can by them descaling powder that you leave in the kettle and then rinse out really works. How often you need to descaling your kettle depends on how hard your water supply is, but I think always to check the spout filter regularly for any build-up that can be easily cleaned off.
Here are our top tips for a good English cup of tea: 1. Use freshly drawn cold water. Ensure your kettle is rescaled regularly and your teapot is clean. You might want to use filtered water if you live in an area with hard water. Boil only what you'll need - it'll save time and energy. 2. Warm the teapot with some hot tap water, and then pour it away. 3. Add as much tea as you desire to the pot (one teaspoon of tea, or one bag, per cup is usually about right). Leave to brew for about three minutes. 4. I recommend the milk shouldn't be too creamy and you should add enough to produce a rich colour. 5. Sweeten to taste. Sit back and relax.
Overall this kettle is just so nice to look at but it spurts when you pour out the water just after boiling. I don’t think children should not to use the kettle straight after boiling for fear they might scald themselves. The performance of the kettle is average however the kettle is very easy to use and very easy to clean. Wouldn’t say very safe to use depending who is using it, but is quite value for money. The user’s manual was easy to understand and follow and I personally haven’t had any repairs done yet, and the kettle is working fine after 7months still.
Advantages: Good-looking, good capacity, fairly quiet, cordless Disadvantages: Heavy to hold, body gets hot on boiling, water spits out of spout
...Morphy Richards is a well-known, long established company with many appliances attached to their name, so as I took myself off to the local hardware store, I had an idea which brand and what my next purchase would be.
Firstly, I checked out the price of the kettle, but at just around £40.00, I did wonder whether I was being a little too extravagant with my spending! Once again, I perused the cheaper brands and I have to say, I was tempted to buy ... ...43139 again, I thought it's 'olde worlde' style gave the appliance a touch of class; so on that, and it's water holding capacity, I finally made my decision.
The kettle does come in two colours, although, I have to mention that there are only two places I have seen the other colour. These colours are cream with neutral handle, lid knob and base, and a bright red one with black as it's contrast. Cream keeps the tone down in the kitchen, but if you ...

...go. in steps the new Morphy Richards kettle. The kettle cost around £50, I'm not sure how much exactly because my husband bought it, however a quick search on the world wide web reveals that they are about £41. The kettle itself is fairly compact and is cream, so it matches our tiles and also the new coffee gadget that I bought the other day. It has a quick boil feature, which is remarkable, and you get your hot water in record time. The kettle is ... ...anyway and it hasnt woken my son yet! Features of the kettle: 3.1kW element boils water rapidly and it has a concealed element and removable limescale filter. It has a capacity of 1.5L, it is cordless and it is 28X20X24 cm that is. Its wattage is 3100 and is has a two year warantee. The removable limescale is a feature which I havent had on a kettle before - and its one which I think is an ace idea, especially that it was due to excessive limescale ...

Advantages: Looks ace but......seems quiet....... at first.. Disadvantages: Burns you're hand off - spills easily
In our household there's a traditional scheme that we have set up over the past few years where we go through 2 - 3 kettles a year!
This one my Mum actually bought, when usually its me and my dad that go in search for them!
However, mum turned up with this one and it goes really well with our kitchen but I've found a couple of flaws with it!
At first it seems really quiet but over time I've realised its a bit of a loud bad boy!
I've found that ... ...gets stuck and leaves the water as a gauge rather than rising with the water :(
The other problem I found is that once its boiled you've got to leave it settle otherwise it chucks water all over you. Great!
But.. on saying that I have to give it what its due, its a nice addition to the kitchen - doesn't look tacky, holds quite a bit of water, is CORDLESS wuhoo!!! doesn't take toooo long to boil and isn't too loud compared to many kettles but you ...

Ths is priviledged to be the most expensive kettle I have ever bought and I haven't been disappointed. This kettle's styling fits in with any style of decor, fresh and modern or retro/shabby chic, with a refreshingly individual look, despite being cordless. It is guaranteed to attract admiring glances from hot-beverage lovers everywhere. It boils very rapidly due to it's wide base with concealed element, ensuring a good cup of tea and it is a spotless ... ...4 months of use.
A lot of cleaning is required to keep this little beauty looking it's best, so I'm often to be found buffing it to a shine with the enthusiasm of a seventeen year old boy and his first car.
When all's said and done, the only reason to spend this much on a kettle is that you love the look, and I do. ...

Advantages: fast boil, great looks Disadvantages: noisy boiler.
Hi . We bought this kettle last year for forty five pounds. It was I joint decision as I liked the boil times and the missus liked the design. This kettle feels very robust and is very quick at boiling up the water for my brew. However it sounds like it is short of water when it is boiling and when it clicks off care has to be taken to wait as if the kettle is tipped to the pour position to early the water boils vigorously and will spurt out of the ...
