"Morphy Richards Coffee Machine"

We had been discussing for some time how we would like to have a coffee machine in our house. We wanted to have one and then something else always needed purchasing and as we classed it as a rather luxury item we were always putting it off, that was until my parents decided to give me their old one. It wasn’t actually that old when they passed it onto us but they wanted a bigger and better model to go in their new kitchen so we took great advantage of wanting their cast offs! The model that we ended up having was the Morphy Richards Accents 47095 Digital Coffee Maker. Here are my thoughts on the product.

The coffee machine will cost around the £50.00 price tag but as we had this as a freebie I was more than impressed. I think my parents said they paid around the £40.00 price tag for it. The coffee machine can be brought from the Amazon website as well as from electric stores and I know that Argos stock the product. This is not a coffee machine that you need to add the coffee beans to as this was what we would have really liked but it is a coffee machine that you add the filter coffee to.

The coffee machine is a sleek looking deign that I think looks really good on my worktop. It is a mixture of black and chrome in colour and is quite symmetrical looking. The coffee machine looks even more modern and stylish by the fact it has the digital dial in the middle section of it, this will glow blue. The coffee machine comes with an easy clean filter and a jug that the coffee will filter into. I used to remember when a coffee machine had the filter papers with it and it was quite the effort getting it clean and tidy after use but this model is totally different to that.

The coffee machine can make up to 12 cups of coffee in 10 minutes. The most coffee that we have ever made in it is about 6 cups in one go. The coffee machine is very easy to use, it may look rather complicated with the fancy digital screen but you soon get used to it after a couple of goes. There is a thermostat hot plate that works well in keeping the cups of coffee warm if you are not ready to put them out but I would not recommend leaving the coffee to sit in there for too long as for me it does reduce in temperature quite quickly.

You soon get used to the amount of filter coffee that you need to add to the coffee machine, there are very clear instructions and the jug that comes with the coffee machine has measurements on. I will admit that it does take a little bit of getting used to with regard to the quantities but I have been really pleased with the flavour of the coffee and we haven’t ended up making it to strong. There is a timer that comes with the coffee machine, we have only used it on a handful of occasions but when we have we have found the programing really easy to use and it has been of benefit.

I am glad that we were handed the coffee machine as a gift as although it is very reliable to use and it is always good at giving us a great drink, we do only tend to use it on the odd occasions and not on a regular basis, it is good for when you have a larger number of people over and it is great at making the drinks quickly but when it is just the two of us it doesn’t tend to get used as much as it could.

The coffee machine is very easy to clean, as I mentioned at the beginning if the review, it is no longer the case of removing filter papers but the filter itself just needs a clean, the coffee machine can just be wiped down with a warm damp cloth.

In summary, I would be happy to recommend this product, it is efficient and effective at making the drinks but you do need to ensure you will us it enough to get your monies worth. I have no hesitation in suggesting the actual appliance itself.
