I have the older version of this current model and it's obvious the company has made some minor but very practical cosmetic changes, hence I would describe this machine as an evolved now mature design. The machine makes a good expresso with a good crema. The machine is easy to use and clean, it has not been affected by any corrosion or rush, the metal parts are good quality. I think it looks stylish and is about the right size. Some plastic bits ... ...has substituted those parts with metal items.
My machine had performed very well for over 2 years then the steam wand stopped giving steam, the blockage was easily removed (details further down) and the machine continues to function well. These machines have only 2 main components, a heating element inside the top part of the machine and a small high pressure pump in the back part.

...in may2006 replacing the old morphy richards machine and from day 1 it has given me excellent hot creamy coffee you can make 2 cups at a time if needed and every time the taste is spot on just fill the reservoir with water switch on and within minutes you will be making a hot fresh creamy coffee with the excellent crema giving the coffee that extra special taste .
i prefer mine as a cappuccino and the frother works exceptionally well : i have found ... ...to make the milk frothy more easily as when you have the rubber on its tends to bubble up the milk instead of frothing its easily cleaned and when finished just switch it off until needed again with regards to not being able to get a large mug under the coffee i first of all froth my milk in a large mug then place my cup under the coffee and then pour into the mug always turns out lovely ...
