I'VE GOT A BUN IN MY OVEN.........

Advantages: Fresh bread that smells and tastes great, easy to make.
Disadvantages: Takes a long time.

...maker in question is the Morphy Richards 48220, or if these are not available the newer model is 48260 but both are literally the same machine.

Morphy Richards is a well-trusted brand name, established in 1936, they make a huge range of kitchen appliances, all excellent in price and features.

.../> Inside the case is a baking pan, this MUST be inserted correctly and pushed down till it clicks into place and then the metal paddle blade (not sharp) is pushed into it, if this is not inserted correctly the blade will not turn and you will end up with a baked disaster.

It comes with its own measuring cup which makes baking almost foolproof, plus a spoon for measuring out smaller amounts for the yeast or salt and sugar, the recipe ... more

Wake up to a fresh loaf

Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: none

The Morphy Richards Essentials Bread Maker, (48220) If you want to make the perfect loaf then choose this bread maker from Morphy Richards. The bread maker is a neat compact unit that can be either left on display on the kitchen work surface, or stored away in a cupboard. The bread maker cost me £50 from Argos at the time of purchase. The main body of the bread maker is housed with a white metal casing. The top of the bread maker is made out ...
...on the top which has a small window in the middle so that you can see inside the bread maker whilst it is operating. The controls for the bread maker are situated on the top right next to the lid. The internal compartment for the bread maker houses a small baking pan that holds all the ingredients for the bread. The baking pan is coated in a non stick paint on it’s internal surface. The baking pan locks into place inside the bread maker. By ...

The Smell of Fresh Baked Bread In Your Own Home...

Advantages: Easy to use - tasty results
Disadvantages: Waiting for the loaf to bake

...the proud owner of a Morphy Richards 48220 breadmaker for almost a year now. I received it as a birthday present, but believe it was priced at £49.99 and was purchased at Argos. Unfortunately it doesn't appear in the current Argos catalogue, however its functions are very similar to those of many other Morphy Richards (and other make) breadmakers available therefore I should hope this opinion will still be of use to you! The breadmaker itself is ...
...cube one third of the panel shows the control panel, and the other two thirds is the lid that allows you to open up the machine to add ingredients / get your bread out etc. In the middle of the lid is a small viewing window, so that if you're impatient (or just curious) you can keep going to your breadmaker and having a look through the little window at what's going on inside! The control panel is very basic and simple to use. It comprises of a ...

Flour power isn't for me

Advantages: Great for making dough, good if you've got time and patience, better than more expensive models
Disadvantages: Difficult to achieve correct recipe, paddle leaves hole in loaf, no cheaper than buying bread

...had been substituted for a Morphy Richards Essentials model which was identical in all but name. Apparently, they came from the same factory and had a different name printed on them. Would I be happy to accept the Morphy Richards model instead? Of course. So I bundled my breadmaker into the boot of my car, and dashed home, foaming at the mouth with the excitement of what culinary delights lay ahead. So here goes with my experiences of the Morphy ...
...I had been under the misapprehension that I just needed to throw in some cheap flour (the 11p a bag economy stuff - such was my naivety), together with water and yeast, and out would pop a mouthwatering crusty loaf which had cost me tuppence to make. This was my first mistake. I had been unaware of the cost of ingredients you need for these breadmakers. For a start, the Tesco Value flour is a big no-no - you actually need to buy strong bread flour, ...

Totally Baked With Freddles and Squiggles

Advantages: Fresh and delicious baked bread that's simplicity itself to create, great results
Disadvantages: None

...of the cheaper models, a Morphy Richards; it had various bread settings and promised you could even make jam and cakes with it too, all for just £49. Other makes that promised the same were considerably more expensive. Happily, I bundled it and husband (with bemused expression and clutching severely depleted wallet!) into the car and we returned home so I could play with my new toy! It's a classy looking machine, glossy white with a grey touch control ...
...my way across to the Morphy Richards…Brilliant invention, so easy even I could do it. And I did do it, while she laboured over a large black portion. Galaxy, you understand. I quoted the Bible again: 'Go thy way , eat thy bread with joy.' The ingredients go in first, as per the list in each recipe. Generally, water first, then the rest. Yeast last, and don't get it mixed with the other stuff, or it goes off. Then press a button or two (your ...

Yeast sales rise

Advantages: The aroma of fresh baked bread and the sheer convenience
Disadvantages: Oh puleeze!! How can there possibly be any disadvantages to this??

...I also got a new Morphy Richards bread maker, which I wasn’t expecting, and that was nice too! What I also got, that wasn’t quite so nice was a New Year spent rushing from supermarket to supermarket in the area in a vain search for fast acting yeast to feed the aforementioned new toy! It all started harmlessly enough on Christmas morning. The discarded wrapping paper had been sorted through (recalling the year I almost chucked away an ...
...the beginning it is the Morphy Richards Essentials breadmaker, and essential it is! I have had my life revolutionised by this, and my fitness campaign stretched to its limit! Basically it is the same as all the other ones on the market as far as the preparations go.
