...sing the praises of the Morphy Richards Bread Maker!
This was a gift from my sister - she had lived through my attempts at meals - and thought that it would be a good idea to give me a machine to take the load off!
We have a really trendy kitchen, lots of natural wood and stainless steel, and this fits in with the look so well. I did think that even if I never used the thing it would look good on the work surface anyway!
The Machine itself is ... ...11 inches high, so you will need a decent amount of space for it, the cord that comes with it isn't that long either - so it will need to be placed very close to an electric socket. It also came with the very helpful instruction book, which is not laminated, (and this might have been an advantage) a couple of plastic measuring spoons and a measuring cup. One thing I found disappointing was that most of the things in the book are relating measures ...

Advantages: Timer, so you can wake up to bread! Disadvantages: It doesn't do the housework as well!!!!
...go out and buy a morphy richards one again, its just so simple to use!!!
So how much did this wonder piece of kitchen gadgety cost?? When I brought mine in stainless steel it was about £90. You can now get this one at many shops at sites. Tescos are doing a good offer on their website for £62 and free p&p. If you are not bothered about having stainless steel, the same breadmaker comes in white, and you can get that at a fraction of the price, I ...

Advantages: Delicious aroma of fresh baked bread. Easy to use and keep clean. Disadvantages: Exact measurement of ingredients needed.
...breadmaker was a replacement by Morphy Richards for the 48220 problem breadmaker that failed within the guarantee period.
A vast improvement, firstly the breadpan is more of a loaf shape, not square like the previous one.
The paddle has been modified for making it easier to remove if it sticks to the spindle with bread dough.
If the ingredients are measured out exactly, carefully put into the breadpan without heaping them up in a big pile and ... ...perfect loaf is produced every time. ( Well rewarding for taking the time to be careful)
Plastic measuring tools are supplied, but it is useful to weigh some ingredients.
To awake the next morning to the lovely aroma of freshly baked bread, then have a slice with breakfast is most definately an experience too good to miss! This being possible thanks to the built in easy to use timer. If a fresh loaf is needed any time, it will need approx. two ...

Advantages: The wonderful smell of fresh bread Disadvantages: Getting the blade out of your loaf
I got this breadmaker on a whim over a year and I am still extremely pleased with it. It seemed expensive at the time never having had a breadmaker before as it cost £75.99 but I soon found that it was worth every penny & more. It was awkward to carry home from the shop though as it is quite heavy. Mine stays out on the worktop all the time I’m sure I wouldn’t use it as much if it were stored in a cupboard (having to lift it in & out of cupboards ... ...like this seem to get used less if they are out of sight, well in my kitchen that’s the case.
It has various settings, for different types of loaf & crust colour (light, medium & dark) all extremely easy to set with just the push of a button. I have tried most of them my favourites are plain white on medium; makes for wonderful toast and mixed grain on dark; turns out great & crusty.
My bread maker is the stainless steel and looks great in my kitchen, ...
