I got this breadmaker on a whim over a year and I am still extremely pleased with it. It seemed expensive at the time never having had a breadmaker before as it cost £75.99 but I soon found that it was worth every penny & more. It was awkward to carry home from the shop though as it is quite heavy. Mine stays out on the worktop all the time I’m sure I wouldn’t use it as much if it were stored in a cupboard (having to lift it in & out of cupboards to use it would certainly detract form it’s appeal), items like this seem to get used less if they are out of sight, well in my kitchen that’s the case.

It has various settings, for different types of loaf & crust colour (light, medium & dark) all extremely easy to set with just the push of a button. I have tried most of them my favourites are plain white on medium; makes for wonderful toast and mixed grain on dark; turns out great & crusty.

My bread maker is the stainless steel and looks great in my kitchen, in saying that it does require regular polishing so be aware. Looks good when clean, but shows up every finger mark. The bread tin is easy to remove and cleaning is a doodle, just ordinary washing up brings it up like new.

It comes with measuring scoop/cup & a recipe book/instruction manual. It’s so easy to get started that a quick glance in the instructions & I was away. I haven’t tried any of the recipes apart from the basic white; I prefer to either use the mixes from supermarket which are reasonable (between 60p-90p depending on what brand/type you buy) or make my own additions to the basic white mix just to try them out; I’d say my successes more than make up for my failures (grated cheese with onion thrown in 15-20mins into cooking is definitely a winner)

In general I only cook small loaves as I find the bread doesn’t keep very well, just halving the mix in a packet turns out a delightful baby size loaf that gets eaten while fresh. The downside of this being the mixing blade can be a bit stubborn about coming out of the loaf, waiting till it’s cool seems make it easiest to remove but still can end up leaving a hole in a small loaf.

I love being inside with the smell of bread cooking; what is my honest opinion? If my bread maker blew up tomorrow I would definitely buy another and I would pick this one, it does everything I want it to, it’s not too complicated to work, the bread it turns out is consistently good, so I'd buy another definitely!
