Well what can I say? This is a brilliant breadmaker!
We used to make all our loaves by hand but now we just don't seem to have enough time so I bought this second hand (but never used) for my husband, but we both use it a lot. I couldn't tell you how many loaves we have made but I know it's well into the 50's somewhere. He puts in the ingredients in just before he goes to work and it is ready within Three hours, just in time for my lunch! You can make a 1.5lb or 2lb loaf and even cakes in this breadmaker.
All you have to do is choose from the instruction book which type of bread you want to make, put all your ingredients into the pan, select the program from the instruction book, select the weight of your loaf and then what sort of crust you would like, then press start. Basically you push a few buttons and away you go..You even have a pause in the program for adding nuts or fruit if you want (the breadmaker beeps at this stage) . When your chosen programme ends make sure you wear thick gloves as the handle to the pan gets very hot! Twist the pan to the side and gently lift out, just tun it upside down and tap and the bread falls out. Then you just let the bread cool on a rack and once it's cool enough for you enjoy. I love the bread warm with fresh butter on it, it's heaven..
I must admit that I would recommend this to everyone who prefers fresh bread as our loaves always come out fine and taste amazing. It tastes much better than shop bought bread. My favourite recipes are the Italian Herb bread and Sun-dried Tomato loaf. It's really easy to clean aswell, you just lift out the pan, remove the blade and then clean. Occasionally the blade gets stuck under some bread so if you just soak it with hot water it comes out easily then.
The only thing that is a sort of downside is that it is rather a large machiene and as the lid opens upwards towards the back of the machiene you can't put it under a low cupboard, but the smells that come out of the vent at the top are yummy.. Also it has a window on the top where you can watch your bread rising, this is also easy to clean as occasionally the bread rises so much that it touches the window.

For the price Id say you got yourself a bargain. My mum wouldnt get rid of her old Panasonic (£200!) bought years ago when they first came out. I thought though that all the MR models can make jam/marmalade as well though? Any parts dishwasher safe such as the main lift out bin cradle and dough hook/mix?
